In my opinion, Xing Ye's autobiographical film is the most touching of all his works. Maybe it is not as eye-catching as "Journey to the West", but this film has reached the highest level of comedy. Comedy and tragedy come together softly. In my mind, "The King of Comedy" is the pinnacle of Xingye's work, without the madness in the early stage and the lack of spirituality and charm in the later stage. The humbleness, kindness, loveliness, dignity and sincerity of the little people are vivid and vivid. Especially worth mentioning is the "star girl" Cecilia Cheung, who just debuted, she is so beautiful and pure, it makes me dizzy.
