"October Sky"-Children in the mine can also look up at the sky

I heard about this movie a long time ago, and I was interested because of Jack Gyllenhaal. His performance on Brokeback Mountain was amazing and unforgettable for a long time. I watched this movie on my mobile phone when I had time this National Day.

It originates from the value of the face and is deeply trapped in reality. Jack Gyllenhaal was really visible twenty years ago, but the film is really touching because it is a true story. A child who has grown up in a mine for several generations can finally look up to the sky and become a NASA scientist. In the play, his three good friends also left the mines separately, and went to their respective glory through the road of higher education, and the mine that had nurtured generations of people was finally closed due to exhaustion of resources. Homer is undoubtedly fortunate. Not only did he escape the unemployment caused by the closure of the mine, but what is more commendable is that he has escaped the status restriction of absenteeism forever and moved towards a broader life. But the simple word "lucky" is not enough to express Homer's life experience. More precisely, it should mean sticking to the original aspiration and never giving up, which ultimately changed his own destiny.

The longer you live, the more you believe in destiny. Most people’s destiny has been determined from birth. Few people can reverse their destiny. There will be people whose lives become better and easier, but there is no class created by destiny. The method has changed. However, what Homer shows in the film is indeed to rewrite his own destiny. The reason why such an experience is easy to move people is that the general public will have the same hope: even in very rare cases, there will be a glimmer of hope. . And hope is the fuse of the whole story.

The story is simple and there is no complicated plot. The biggest difficulty Homer encountered was pressure from his father. His father always hoped that he could inherit his father's business and continue to be a solid miner. However, Homer's obsession and seriousness with the Rockets not only allowed him to get support from his teacher and his mother, but also had three small partners to complete the work together. The rocket was not originally made for college. No one has walked this path. They don't know where it will lead. They just rely on their blood and enthusiasm to make the little rocket ascend to the sky. During this period, there was a lot of help from many people, and there was also a lot of cynicism. It was these different voices from all directions that made Homer more persistent and walked firmly.

"October Sky" stands out from other inspirational films. The more important thing is that it is completely from Homer's inner persistence, with almost no outside support and guidance. It is through the books in the library, constantly groping and experimenting, and it was successfully launched. With Little Rockets, the hardships during this period are hard to describe, and even more rare is to persevere. Abandoning is a too simple method. You can give up when your father opposes it, you can give up when there is a lack of materials, you can give up when you are falsely accused of almost going to jail, you can give up when you are ridiculed, and you can give up when you see a friend being ridiculed. You can give up when the stepfather beats up, and you can give up when your friends want to give up... There are too many time points to give up, Homer chooses the most difficult path-persistence, towards or even not looking One possible path stick to it!

Now that I think about it, I might be the kind of ridiculous and cynic around Homer. I have neither the hobby of stumbling to the end nor the determination to persist for a long time. That's why I can only be a person who looks up to the absentee child, watching The children of absenteeism look up at the stars. The children of absenteeism are like meteors high up in the sky. Through this film, I can see them a little bit of light, shining on my long-destined life path. The darkness of the road of life is unbearable, but it is just this little starlight that gives people hope.

When the story develops to the moment the rocket lifts off, I already feel that it is complete, and their hard work should have a final result. However, destiny also bowed their heads due to their hard work. When they participated in the science exhibition in one go, they not only won the first prize, but also won full scholarships from many university campuses, and won tickets for four people to change their destiny.

The starting point of destiny is always the same, but the end points of different roads are quite different. The seemingly unattainable future and destiny actually start from this moment, under the feet, and in the hands. Destiny is difficult to change, such as sailing against the current. It is because of such difficulties that it becomes precious. Cherish dreams, persist in dreams, and change destiny.

    Miss Riley: Mmm-hmm.

    Principal Turner: Not false hopes.

Miss Riley: False hopes? Do you want me to sit quiet, let 'em breathe in coal dust the rest of their life?

Principal Turner: Miss Riley, once in a while... a lucky one... will get out on a football scholarship. The rest of 'em work in the mines.

Miss Riley: How 'bout I believe in the unlucky ones? Hmm? I have to, Mister Turner, I'd go out of my mind.
