When people's eyes were taken away from Li and Cheng, who had been suppressed for a long time, "Brother Dan" finally became a daughter-in-law and became a mother-in-law. To be honest, Donnie Yen's kung fu is real, but because Li and Cheng in front are too brilliant, Dan can only live in their shadows. However, starting from "Slaying the Wolf", Dan Ge's tough and almost cruel style of play really deeply captured the hearts of the audience, sometimes just to see the ruthless and cruel methods of gnashing his teeth, which are exciting and enjoyable.
"Dragon Tiger Gate" is Donnie Yen's truly upgraded masterpiece. The martial arts in the film are completely Zhen-style, and they are vicious and beautiful. But apart from the wonderful interpretation of martial arts action, this film is basically a simple story that is quite mentally handicapped. When I saw half of it, I couldn't help but drag and fast-forward to choose the action scene.
Although the pre-publicity has done enough pomp, but this is a film that is actually difficult to match under its reputation. Action movies can't be played from beginning to end, and even porn without a storyline is uninteresting. It will take a while for Donnie Yen to truly replace the two bosses, and he still needs to find a suitable story and an excellent screenwriter.
