The second thing I want to say is: Feng Dao has really improved.
The third thing I want to say is: the progress is not great, and the story is still not well told.
Text the snake on the way back.
Sanmai: I just finished watching "Assembly", it's really good, better than "Voice of the Name". Feng Xiaogang has some "guamiaoxiang look". Although there are also problems, but for Feng, it is quite good to be able to smooth out a story.
Little Snake: It sounds really good, I want to watch it too~~ Now I am looking forward to my father's organization, and I will follow. Otherwise, I plan to buy the tickets myself~~ I want to watch it even after the hail of bullets.
Samadhi: I thought war and root-seeking were half and half. In fact, war is the main theme, but because of this, it was the climax without the trumpet, but I didn’t dig deeper at all, and quickly ended with a lyrical ending. So the story is relatively shallow. But the battle scene is good, so it is still very shocking. It's just that it could have been better. Still, it was more than enough for my expectations.
Snake: Hehe, because it's Feng Xiaogang, I didn't have such high expectations, so it's probably better than expected~~ Our main theme film lacks the cruel and realistic battlefield. Although I don't like Koreans, it is only from a technical point of view. I still believe it~~ "Assembly" seems to be off to a good start, our modern war movie looks like it's going to start, it's thick, it's very good~~ Pop war movies are always better than pop porn movies~
Basically, this is The feeling after watching it.
To be more specific, the shock of war, especially the effect played in the movie theater, basically completely controlled the audience. I have never seen such a deterrent war scene in a domestic movie. Last week, I had already praised the grandeur of "Famous Name", but the war effect in the age of cold weapons is different from that in the age of guns and guns. It is completely real like this, roaring, exploding, stump limbs, broken arms, blood and flesh. Fly, the cruelty of war is fully presented to the audience, with undisguised disgust and fear.
The entire war section is compact, smooth, and flawless. And this part accounts for the vast majority of the story, so it is only after the film that I feel - not bad!
However, that's what's wrong with the film.
The war is so captivating, because the length of the story is very large, so the latter part is very simple to skip. After reading the report, Feng Xiaogang himself said that 3 hours was too long, so he cut a lot of it. For this reason, I can explain to the past that the protagonist has not made it clear that he is pretending to be the enemy. At the same time, keep everything simple.
However, if you look at the movie as a whole, why the rallying call doesn't sound is actually the focus of the whole story. Therefore, when the movie finally reaches the climax of this dramatic conflict, it is inevitable to sum it up in a few sentences. Makes it a little uncomfortable to hold on to. This is definitely not a matter of time, but a matter of the director's level of control over the story.
Because the war scene is so beautiful, I was reluctant to take away the space, but I didn’t have the courage to actually make it into a 3-hour blockbuster, so I could only focus on the good-looking story. Feng Xiaogang rarely made up the story without a beard and eyebrows, but he still lacked that. One step, it's a pity.
In the final analysis, Feng Dao is still not confident in his sensational skills. He believes that the audience will prefer to watch his wars, so he follows the audience and only talks about wars. For example, if this was Spielberg, he would definitely extend the film in half and make that harmonious ending extremely emotional. Some people say that because of China's national conditions, Feng Dao did not dare to shoot a more tragic feeling, so he had to be harmonious - this reason is purely an excuse, the main theme, harmony, may not be emotional, tragic, and it may not be a happy ending. It came out, but this kind of pride was not mastered by Director Feng, so he flinched.
I personally always think that among the three great directors in China, Zhang Yimou is empty and Chen Kaige is pretending, but these two are real directors. Feng Xiaogang's problem is just the opposite. I couldn't hold my breath and learned to dress for a while), but the director's basic skills are not enough, so no matter what story you shoot, you will come up with a sketch.
But this time, for "Assembly", Director Feng finally looks like a real director, which is gratifying.
