However, if you look at the movie as a whole, why the rallying call doesn't sound is actually the focus of the whole story. Therefore, when the movie finally reaches the climax of this dramatic conflict, it is inevitable to sum it up in a few sentences. Makes it a little uncomfortable to hold on to. This is definitely not a matter of time, but a matter of the director's level of control over the story.
Because the war scene is so beautiful, I was reluctant to take away the space, but I didn’t have the courage to actually make it into a 3-hour blockbuster, so I could only focus on the good-looking story. Feng Xiaogang rarely made up the story without a beard and eyebrows, but he still lacked that. One step, it's a pity.
In the final analysis, Feng Dao is still not confident in his sensational skills. He believes that the audience will prefer to watch his wars, so he follows the audience and only talks about wars. For example, if this was Spielberg, he would definitely extend the film in half and make that harmonious ending extremely emotional. I personally always think that among the three great directors in China, Zhang Yimou is empty and Chen Kaige is pretending, but these two are real directors. Feng Xiaogang's problem is just the opposite.
