For me the movie and the original are the manual for each other. Only after watching this movie can I get the concept of many grand scenes in the original book, as well as the rich feelings of characters that I didn't understand when I read the book; and only after reading the original book can I understand the greatness of this movie: unparalleled shots, feelings for the characters in the book The vivid description of the book, the expression of the book's ideas in simple language, and so on.
Then there are the actors, this movie, either the actors are too good, or the casting is too appropriate, or both, every character really seems to be from the original book, especially Pierre and Princess Maria.
