This is the first time I have the concept of war, invasion. In the past, I watched war movies, and I only saw the heroism of the soldiers and the command of the generals, but I never thought about how it would affect the local residents.
Is a primitive and barbaric way of life just bad and needs to be conquered by civilization?
Are faith and pride really more important than life? If so, who has the power to wage a battle that puts the lives of all young people at stake to defend the ancient totems and tribal spirit?
Is it humane to kill for so-called heroic souls?
Why, after being occupied, still treat people of the same clan and different hunting grounds as enemies, while respecting the Japanese?

The movie itself is good, but there is still a lot of confusion

  • Ichiro Hanaoka aka Dakis Nomin: [Asking Jiro/Dakis Nawi before performing seppuku] Jiro, are we subjects of Japan's Mikado... , or the descendants of the Seediq ancestors?
