This is a very interesting movie. A man with all kinds of eccentricities: he never drives or rides a car, he only turns counterclockwise, he has to touch the ground and put heavy objects on his body to feel safe... A down-and-out woman: originally I studied literature but was forced to paint. I had a boyfriend who used to love me but ran away with my secretary. I had no money to pay the rent and I was kicked out by my mother... These two people met, It's bound to lead to an interesting story.
There are several interesting plots in the movie. Henry often lies on the floor, pressing a large pile of thick books on top of himself. He also often goes to Rudy's tomb and talks to the dead, or lies on the ground and puts Rudy on the ground. Dee's tombstone lay on him. He was wearing a steel helmet when he was in the car, and even then he was shivering with fear. He threw the book written by Lucy's ex-boyfriend in the woods, and was able to pick it up again and tore the title page on it...
The movie also has many touching details. Lucy inadvertently said that he liked the beach and the stars, and regretted that he did not have an astronomical telescope. Henry borrowed a villa by the sea from Frank, and turned the door lock clockwise for the first time ever. Henry even gave Lucy an astronomical telescope, and the two of them looked at the beautiful stars together. When he decided to find Lucy, he dared to drive by himself, but still wearing a steel helmet. The most touching thing is the stone, although it was just picked up in front of Rudy's tomb, but it became Lucy's most cherished thing: "This is my stone." Later, Henry wanted to retrieve the one he lost out of anger. That stone, his hands kept digging in the pile of rocks on the beach, even if it rained, even if it was dark, he was still digging persistently, and finally he found a stone that most resembled the original one. It is this stone that makes a beautiful love.
Although it is a very nice romantic love story, I also feel that the progression of the plot seems too abrupt. Henry rejected Lucy in the middle of the film, but suddenly he borrowed a seaside villa for her and gave it away. Astronomical telescope, and then fell in love with Lucy out of control, feeling a little unacceptable.
