"Matsuko's Disgusted Life" is a fairy tale-like film that tells the wretched life of a woman named Matsuko in a comedy way. It looks like a fairy tale, but the theme discussed inside is so profound: what is the value of life? How did the tragedy of life come about? When the ideal is disillusioned, is there anything left in life?
In the movie, Ms. Matsuko played by Mi Nakamura is an unlucky woman whose life is a big tragedy with occasional comedy plots. Every time Matsuko ignites a hope in life, the director will make her action end in dismal. At the end of his life, Song Nuo became an old woman. She has no family, no love, no youth, not even a friend to rely on, so she walks through her life alone... My dearest Ms. Matsuko, after being abandoned once in life, she will never to despair. Sadly, Matsuko gave up all of her life to pursue unworthy love, but it was because she always failed after she tried her best, which made her even more desolate. While watching this film, I kept thinking: How on earth can a person be so miserable? On the road of life, Songzi loved others so persistently, and lived his whole life. She has never understood: if you don't know how to love yourself, how can you love others? If she could wake up earlier, if she could love herself more, she wouldn't be scarred by herself. Seeing Matsuko's life being rejected as a woman, she couldn't help but feel sad.
But is the director just to earn a few drops of tears from the audience that he carried the camera to make such a movie upside down? Apparently not. This movie is a great satire on the "girl plot", a sympathy for the unfortunate soul, and a deep reflection on "the value of life lies in giving instead of acquiring". Specific to this "Matsuko's Disgusted Life", the heroine Miss Matsuko's life is so wretched, but the director sees the quality closest to God in her. After Matsuko's death, Long Yi, an outlaw who had long since converted to religion, recalled: "The human heart is weak, and it is difficult to pray for those you hate. But if you rely on God's power, you can do it. Forgiveness is unforgivable. and love him. That is the love of God." Songzi is the God of Longyi. The woman who always loved him with all she could. Her childlike innocence and desire for life are like stars in the night sky, giving people hope. When the pine nuts died, even the sun became bleak. In Tetsuya Nakajima's eyes, this insulted and damaged woman is the incarnation of God on earth.
After reading "Matsuko's Disgusted Life", one can't help but think: Is there anything left in life after the disillusionment? A cruel life under the cover of a beautiful fairy tale. Songzi stepped into the attic step by step, where the biggest heart disease in her life was entangled. We couldn't help but think, if only Matsuko could set foot on that attic sooner. Then she wouldn't die alone like that. However, I can't help but cruelly hope that Matsuko will die soon, because the director needs to use the death of a life as a material for us to think about the meaning of life.
