The journey of four big men, the laughter and pain points along the way constitute a farewell trip.
For James, this is a final trip, a farewell to life. For the remaining three, it's a journey of saying goodbye to the past and goodbye to friends.
James is unfortunate and even more fortunate. He is ill, but he has three best friends with very different personalities who can accompany him to the end and respect his choices.
Friends secretly prepared fireworks, but Davy, who had been complaining about too much luggage on the way, accidentally missed it. Under the fireworks, they were like four children, wanton laughing and playing.
Simple characters, laughing and scolding, if not interspersed with James' wet and depressing dreams, I simply think this is the joyful journey of four big men. However, reality will always come. Lack of morphine to cover up the pain, hit like a raging sea.
James' pain that night reminded me of my mother. The pain of cancer patients is like the punishment of lingering on the hearts of their loved ones.
Here, I also think of Li Xiangshan, the man who smiled and held a farewell ceremony for himself.
At some point, choice also becomes a luxury. Fortunately, James' friends gave him the choice.
Don't want to discuss the meaning of life, like the last sentence "there is no tragedy".
