Police officer Wang Guozhu has been missing for 18 months, and the police have made little progress on the case. He Jiaan, the senior inspector of the West Kowloon Crime Squad, worked with Bin SIR when he first joined the superintendent, and had seen Bin SIR's investigation level. In the Wang Guozhu case, all he thought of was turning to Bin SIR for help.
In Bin SIR's dark and messy home, He Jiaan met Bin SIR, who was depressed and schizophrenic after retirement. Bin SIR's miraculous investigation level comes from his unusual insight. The buried He Jiaan escaped the danger in a hurry, and rushed to Gao Zhiwei's office angrily to forcibly check the markings of Gao Zhiwei's gun. As mentioned earlier, Gao Zhiwei tampered with the number of the gun. He Jiaan saw that Gao Zhiwei's gun number was the same as the register number, which intensified his distrust of Bin SIR.
At the crime scene carefully laid out by Gao Zhiwei, He Jiaan was beaten by the masked Gao Zhiwei, exposing He Jiaan's weak side (the crying little boy).
Gao Zhiwei asked He Jiaan to arrest the South Asian teenager together. Before arriving at the scene, Bin SIR informed He Jiaan of Gao Zhiwei's plan via text message: to take back the police gun in the hands of the South Asian teenager and kill all the witnesses present. At this time, He Jiaan was frightened and suspicious. He no longer believed in Bin SIR. He brought his girlfriend Gigi's gun, and while cooperating with Gao Zhiwei to investigate the case, he was anxious to get the gun back from Bin SIR.
Gao Zhiwei, He Jiaan and Bin SIR found a South Asian teenager with a gun in the warehouse. The four raised their guns to shoot at each other. He Jiaan survived, Bin SIR was seriously injured, and the other two were shot and killed. The personality of Zhi (jian) and Hui (zha) appeared. He Jiaan was no longer a crying and scared little boy. Bin SIR, a patient with schizophrenia, can see the split personality of the other party, which is expressed by actors with different images in the film. For example, greed, cruelty, and wisdom, the different aspects of these complex personalities are expressed very concretely through different characters in the film, which is a relatively good idea. He Jiaan's inner weakness and cunning are expressed by a crying boy and a cold-faced woman respectively, which are easy to understand for the audience; Gao Zhian has seven avatars, and only three have meanings: brutality, greed and resourcefulness.
