Two high school girls living in Shimotsuma City, Japan, the ruthless biker girl Merry, who regards "Rococo culture" as their spiritual pillar, who is innocent on the outside but stubborn on the inside, inexplicably become good friends. By coincidence, Li became a popular model of Taozi's favorite loli clothing brand, and Taozi often accompanies her to Daikanyama, Tokyo, to shoot commercials as an agent. Once, on the way to Tokyo on the highway bus, there was a murder case, and the victim was a gang leader. Merry accidentally became a suspect, in order to rescue her friend, Taozi embarked on the road to find the real murderer...

It's a story of growth and friendship, but also a microcosm of the Japanese subculture's exploration of identity. This passage in the book may be the psychological monologue of many small groups of people:

"It is clear that no one is restrained, but most people put pressure on themselves for the reasons they thought up without authorization, reduce the possibility of 5% to zero, and convince themselves that that is the way to become an adult. No matter how smart you are, as long as you get older, everyone will become an adult! In the end, because I have no self-confidence and am willing to be a frog in the well, I have never won or lost on the big stage. […] (But in fact) as long as Believe in yourself, if you have friends who believe in yourself, talent or luck doesn’t matter, you can do it if you want.”
