[Watching Notes 02] The clip analysis work of the year, wake up my untalented and lazy self

I've been too busy to watch a new movie recently... (But I still use the meal time to catch up with the running man...)
This is a director's audio-visual language course assignment in 2007... A server with a capital letter...) I
was still blogging back then, and several juniors and juniors left me a message saying, "Sister, can I use your homework... (I don't care but we are the same) Teacher...)

Later, I fell in love with Tetsuya Nakajima, and various Japanese movies,
and felt that I would like to become such a person in the future... (Second, Wen Qing girl, you were really a drawing Mori Po..)

I have been writing all these years, but I have written almost nothing; I
have always wanted to shoot, but I have no chance or money... (mainly, I have neither talent nor laziness!)

But I have hardly any more. I took notes, and what I saw was like a dream bubble, but I didn’t remember it all.

From now on, keep practicing like this.
Although I look old at the age of three, I already understand that many things are almost impossible to achieve.

But still, I hope that I am still not afraid of dreaming at this age.
And, continue to work hard without giving up.

"Director's Audiovisual Language" Fragment analysis work

movie "The Story of the Wife"
Director: Tetsuya Nakajima Genre: Comedy
Content: In Japan, there is a high school girl Ryuzaki Momoko who likes European and American culture very much and always dresses up like a medieval western lady. Peaches grew up in the Kansai region of Japan, where young people are very fashion-forward, and you can see fancy clothes everywhere. However, the Taozi family moved to the next wife who had nothing but the field. The people here are simple and have no sense of fashion. Despite being treated like a monster by the locals, Peaches still goes her own way and doesn't mind the weird gazes and pointing at all around her. Peach is tired of life here and has always been yearning for the bustling Tokyo. She always dreamed of being far away from Kansai and standing tall in Tokyo.

Fragment: Beginning 00:02:34—00:04:38

Features:
"Contrast" ---- The unexpectedly strong contrast attracts the viewer's attention.

One is the contrast in the content of the story, and the other is the contrast in the shooting technique. The two echo each other and set off each other.
At the beginning of the film, the "interesting point" is raised very high, setting the comedy tone of the whole film. Gives a sense of anticipation, wondering what happened afterward.

1) (light)
tone: The warm tone at the beginning (soft, warm yellow background color) gives a warm feeling; it creates a "dream"-like effect; it also expresses the protagonist's "fantasy in a dream" and "Imagination".
For more than a minute, he introduced the "Rococo" era in the eyes of the protagonist (or imagined), and then the protagonist Taozi appeared, dressed (modeled) like the nobles of the "Luo" era, making it difficult to distinguish Fantasy and real world.
Afterwards, the change of light and shadow tones took a sharp turn, from warm colors to cool colors of large fields. Create a powerful visual impact.

2) Shots and rhythm: Focusing on medium and close-
up shots, the rhythm is relaxed by panning the shots continuously at the beginning. When the viewer is already immersed in such comfort, the director uses two quick push-pull shots, and the visual effect is strong. (The relationship between the push-pull lens and the rhythm)
The addition of two long-range shots also explained a completely different real environment from before. The close-up of "cow dung" more concretely and vividly explains the situation in reality.

3) Lens and angle: mainly the horizontal angle.
Because it is the space where the heroine imagines her own life, it is equal, and she is in it, so the angle is flat.
The two shots with contrast are the full overhead ceiling shot in the middle "in history class", and the final overhead telephoto shot.
The first ceiling shot is in the opening paragraph, the first time from the fantasy world to the real world. The purpose of using such a lens is to express the era that the protagonist expects to pay attention to, and that gorgeous grand scene has not been paid attention to by others or even in history (this is the contrast between the two); the second is to express The scene of the students in class, a simple lens can explain the scene at that time clearly. (Close-up of the book - panorama of students sleeping)
The last overhead shot is to explain the real environment, in contrast to the previous head-up view. She looks insignificant in the large field, which shows her helplessness in reality from another angle.

4) Music and monologue: The protagonist is "hearing his voice before seeing him". The first impression of the sweet voice is "she is a lovely girl", and the content of the monologue makes people understand that she is full of expectations and dreams for the era she likes; The contrast between her fantasy and reality makes viewers feel that she is only a shadow, and that "going as it is" and pursuing a dreamy life state, and her interest in her has increased.
The music starts out soothing, European, and sets off the picture. But at the same time as the scene of "Dream falls to reality", the music also stopped abruptly, causing contrast and impact on the auditory.

The beginning of the film establishes the style of the whole film - a dreamy, unrealistic comedy that takes place in the middle of reality.
