The point that makes me uncomfortable is that it is too slow in the first place. After watching it for a few minutes, I changed it to 1.5x speed (the highest speed of Tencent Video). After I changed it, I felt that this was the normal speed. While watching it, I couldn't help but think of the plot in "Mulholland Drive" and couldn't help but compare the two. I think the themes of these two films are very similar. The combination of dreams and reality achieves a confusing effect. But "Last Night on Earth" seems to be more complicated and messy to handle than "Mulholland Drive", so it's harder to understand. It does not give an exact truth, so there is more room for imagination and more possibilities. I think the male protagonist may be a substitute character, not the protagonist of the story. The one who fell in love with Wan Qiwen was the white cat, who was killed by Zuo Hongyuan because of the failed assassination. The male protagonist was afraid of the death of the white cat and went to work in a Myanmar casino. After his father died, he returned. The male protagonist just understands the experience of the white cat and substitutes himself in the dream. But I have other ideas. The movie has always been around the prison, as if the prison has something to do with the male protagonist. So I have a bold guess, the whole film is a dream, the male protagonist is Zuo Hongyuan, his wife is Wan Qiwen, Wan Qiwen has an affair with Bai Mao, the male protagonist killed Bai Mao and went to prison, and then went through the divorce procedures. After watching the film, I am still very fascinated. The expression of the plot is not very complete. Maybe this is the effect it wants to achieve.
