It's not a serious film review, or it's too short to comment, so I have to say a few words here.
I watched "The Last Night on Earth" and I really liked it. Bi Gan is very relaxed, but this time he is a little more relaxed. After saying this, I really want to laugh, but I still like it, mainly because this person is really interesting , is something new and interesting to me. In addition, his music feels very good. In addition, the current two films have a kind of wild sexiness that is naturally formed by the people of Southwest China. These two are the necessary conditions for me to choose a director. In his two films, the fate of men is changed by women, and some changes are sudden, almost a kind of fate. In two of his films, there are "big city" Carey, and small town "Dangmai". Men all start looking for Carey, and finally find Dangmai. The scenes of Dangmai are better than Carey's. Dangmai people are also more lively than Carey. Dangmai always has a mature barber shop proprietress, and a little girl who is trapped in Dangmai and starts to speak Mandarin when she sees a man from a big city. The character of Zhang Aijia in "The Last Night on Earth" is the proprietress of the barber shop that Bi Gan's uncle met in Dangmai in "Street Picnic". Remember the touching "Little Jasmine"? At the beginning of the movie in "Last Night on Earth", Huang Jue's father died. The one in the photo is Bi Gan's old uncle in "Roadside Picnic". During a roadside picnic, the old uncle's son was once taken to Dangmai's place. He went to look for his son and met a barber shop proprietress in Dangmai. Thinking this way, Dangmai is simply the place of destiny, which is very interesting. Yes. It is said that Bi Gan's film company is also called Dang Mai. The place called Dangmai was created by the director. From the perspective of spatial structure, when I was watching a roadside picnic, I thought this small place was really interesting. Now it seems that it is not only flat, but also stereoscopic 3D. No wonder Bi Gan had such a good time.
So to me, this movie is interesting, but I dare not recommend it to other friends to watch it.
