OMG! Too many short reviews can only be posted as movie reviews! For the first time in my life. . .
After the individual has a huge sense of powerlessness in confrontation with society, he will seek a way to resolve it. Some people choose to be inward, for example, depression accumulates into a disease, and in severe cases, self-harm or even end of life. Some people will choose to vent out, such as venting on people or things, and the man in the film chooses animals-cute dogs, maybe this is just because when he answers the phone, he is affected by the important and huge in his life. At the blow, it happened that the unfortunate dog barked. Because at that moment, the man's disgust and disgust for the message on the phone made him physically reject it, and there was a dog barking just at this moment, so the man took advantage of the opportunity to transfer this anger to the high-pitched dog barking , and then raise all the anger from one dog to the animal group of dogs, the dog is really unfortunate, and at the same time, this series of absurd and familiar operations also perfectly fits a theme of the film. It is the course "Modern People's Behavioural Thinking Analysis" that the male teacher wants to teach at the end of the film. This analysis and deconstructed review of human behavior should benefit from the professional training Bong Joon-ho himself received while studying in Yonsei sociology. The role played by Pei Doona in the film seems to have a clear contrast with this man. She treats people kindly, but when she gives kindness to strangers, she is ruthlessly rejected. She helps a single old man and is given a pot of dried radishes. She chases the bad guy who throws the dog but gets hit on the head by the door. Language oppression, rejection, and teasing, she chose to be insensitive; when the male teacher finally tried to confess to her, she still chose to respond with her insensitivity. Perhaps this is behind her consistent logic of treating people with kindness. If I hadn't met such a person in real life, I wouldn't believe in the creation of this character in the film, and I would question how a person can have such a great energy in his heart? But fortunately, I was greeted by reality with such a beautiful response. The two types of people behind the man and the woman in the film are also two ways or choices to be human. As for the setting of the two characters, Pei Doona and the male teacher's wife in the film, it can be interpreted as Feng Junhao's praise for women. (The mirror at the end was a little too hard to reflect the harsh light on the audience, but who didn't punk when they were young)
Anyway, the first feature film can be made like this, he is really talented. This kind of emotion is also because when I watched that chase scene, I compared other people's ability to control the dramatic tension and rhythm with my frustration when I cut the first short film assignment in my life recently. But why do I feel frustrated? If I think about it carefully, this has to be another analysis of modern people's behavior thinking, but I should have been self-consistent with this kind of problem, otherwise how could I make such a choice? But it does not seem to be absolute and complete. . . So it can only be said that there is always room for improvement in human life, as long as you don’t forget to examine yourself and make changes.
