When commenting on a movie, from my personal point of view, I tend to start from what I think is more important: whether this work tells a good story through audio and video. From this perspective, Spielberg's films are all quite successful. The main problem with this movie is that it lacks creativity and imagination. It may be surprising to say that there are a lot of symbols and iconic characters in the movies, which involve a lot of popular culture, especially video game culture. However, these are not the biggest problems. Like most of Spielberg's works, this film lacks a thoughtful and complete value. The creator of Oasis thinks about the relationship between reality and the game extremely naively and ridiculously, and the protagonist is completely lacking in motivation, lack of transformation, lack of growth, and only appearing in a scene. Originally, adults can understand that the so-called more than one hundred easter eggs means that this film is all tribute and nostalgia, in other words plagiarism and collage. Collage, as an art form carried forward by Andy Howell, has been outdated for 60 years, and only the official account is still in use today. But it’s pretty good, isn’t it? However, there is an Easter egg in the film that really disgusts me. Finally, from the perspective of the storyline, this film requires mechanical descent to the extent that the bull's head is wrong and the horse's mouth is not as good as the sewing machine band. It is not a story at all. Generally speaking, the reality of the popularity of this kind of film is that the public is giving up thinking and embracing the reality of brainwashing. What kind of appetite the audience will have, what kind of disgusting work will be produced. I have no objection to movies like you enjoy, but I am really disgusted that some people with no thinking ability call it madly that this represents their dreams and that they are recognized and accepted. Wake up, in the Glory of Kings, with a set of staff and a game programmer with an annual salary of tens of millions, is it still niche and non-mainstream to play games? How much do you have to rely on the cartoons you watched many years ago and the game consoles you have played to find your superiority?
In essence, Spielberg is just a commercial film director, and he has tried to create some great works, such as Schindler's List, Munich and Kidnapping. Now it seems that the subject matter and script determine his height and vision. He himself lacks the ability and talent to extract art from life.
