In the story of the movie "Secret Sun", the heroine Li Shenai's husband was killed in a car accident. Li pretended to be unaware of the betrayal of her deceased husband before his death, and still brought his son to live in Miryang, her husband's hometown. Because of her vanity, she pretended to be a wealthy person and said that she wanted to find land to build a house. In despair, Li believed in God and became more and more happy. When she was convinced that she was as loving and forgiving as her heavenly Father, she decided to go to the detention center and personally forgive the murderer. Unexpectedly, the murderer also believed in God, and said with a peaceful face that he had been forgiven and redeemed by God. Her spiritual sustenance suddenly collapsed. Because she always believed that she, as the biggest victim, suffered great pain, the authority to forgive the murderer should be in her own hands. God forgave the murderer without her permission and freed her spirit. She was deeply resentful and embarked on the road of antichrist.
It can be guessed that Li Shenai's forgiveness trip was originally to make a high-profile confession to the murderer, and use "I forgive you" to correct the imbalance in his heart. Yet sinners have already found deliverance from God. For Li, forgiveness is not the original purpose, so instead of being grateful for God's tolerance, she resents God's injustice. God's equality with the world means treating the guilty and the innocent equally. In Li Shenai's view, it is naturally unfair. However, this "sin" should be a crime in the human society. In the eyes of God, everyone is guilty. It's just that people are accustomed to seeing their own suffering, but not others' suffering; seeing the sins of others, but not their own. What is fair or unfair?
The third chapter of Ecclesiastes says:
"There is a time for everything, and a time for all things under the sky: a time to be

There is a time for everything that happens in the world, and it must be promised by God. The husband and son were killed, the murderer was freed, and everything was God's will. Li Shenai's inner hatred comes from not being humble, not showing mercy, not believing.
The title of the film "Secret Sun" is the small town where Li Shenai moved to. At the beginning of the film, she said that "Secret Sun" in Chinese means the mysterious sunshine. Sunshine plays a ubiquitous role in the film. Li Shenai reached out to the sun before he believed in the Lord and asked believers, "You said that everything has the meaning of the Lord. What is the special meaning of this ray of sunshine?" At that time, the temptation had been taking root in her heart, and after she went on the road of antichrist, she did not hesitate to disturb the church, seduce the pastor, or even self-mutilate, to fight against God. Until the end of the film, she was sitting in the courtyard cutting her hair just after being discharged from the hospital, and a piece of sunlight quietly shone on a corner of her small courtyard. Her temptation and confrontation finally stopped.
