——I
guess that people who understand the details of this film are like reading paragraphs of prose poems, and have the same feelings as these poems in their hearts, or through this reading, accept these feelings. So this fog-like, misty film is important to them.
In my eyes, this film doesn't look like fog at all, but like a technically rough set for the simulation of fog, just like the snow in the police station in the film, through the window, you can see the snow pouring down, But it feels quite fake, not like a real snowstorm, but like a blower made of many bags of foam ash, a bag of foam ash fell down, and when the blower blew, snowflakes poured from the side of the window. Come here, then the snow stopped, another bag of foam ash fell, and the wind from the blower created another heavy snow, and so on.
There are many people who talked about the details of this film, most of which was the one about the coming-of-age ceremony, saying that it was memorable. Like many other details in the film, I felt that the details were too thin, like an accident. The girl's bar mitzvah, and the little boy in the restaurant admiring the violin, in other films, such pictures that imprint your memory should abound. Like the dying horse in the middle of the street, like the giant finger statue pulled up by the helicopter, like the light pulled by the mother who only appears once, like the "seagull", like the strangeness of those people in the theater every time they appear on the screen way, like the team in yellow clothes, these details appear in the film like all kinds of accidents, interrupting my smooth, full of desire to listen, because after these beautiful materials appeared, no clues were given. Let me understand their beauty, what they need is that you can see at a glance.
There are also metaphors and images, the search for the father is seen as a search for God, "If I cry, which angel will hear it?" It is seen as the cry of Oedipus' pain, or from Rilke: who , if I cry, will I hear it from the train of angels? There is also the whole search as a journey of life, and the poetic quality of the director, so there is poetry everywhere. You can see how much you love these metaphors! rather than itself.
If I understand the important things in this film, I prefer to read the sentences or stare at the pictures. Even if I fully understand what you're trying to say, I don't want to go through the convoluted and crude way of a movie.
Or maybe the director is really painting more icons. Exactly, just as I have not liked any of the fables, I have not liked any of the icons.
