You can practice without leaving home

I saw a recommendation by chance one day, and I went to Seda Buddhist College in May. I was suddenly very interested in this video of Tibetan lamas breaking the taboo. I remember that there were many lamas, men and women, young and old in the car together. There was a very handsome lama, but it’s a pity I didn't even look at me. He is not the Dashi in the film, haha~ Starring Christy Chung, the online resources for the 2001 film are so hard to find, I suddenly want to watch it, and the hard work pays off, sacrificing mine Go to bed early. . . Does it come true when you really want it?

After reading it, I still can't understand the sentence: How can a drop of water not dry up? Let him flow into the sea. ? ? ? I think Da Shi is quite a scumbag. He wants to learn from Sakyamuni and experience the world, but he doesn't understand the laws of the world. In the end, he cheated and left his wife and children because he suddenly saw the master's words when he was reflecting: You will be in the next life. Tell me is it more important to satisfy a thousand desires or to overcome one desire? Maybe he also thinks he is very scumbag. He feels that he did not overcome a desire at the time, but now he has satisfied a lot of desires, but he has not reached the state of detachment and happiness that he wants, so he went back to practice~ I am very puzzled by these two sentences, really ~ It's still quite brain-burning to read. As the saying goes, the Buddha entered the world, but I think he has experienced such a great enlightenment and penetrated the human world. Since he has the foundation of the Buddha and the secular environment, he should do good things to benefit everyone. Why escaping reality and returning to the practice life? Is it possible to save oneself or to save sentient beings?

In fact, when I discussed with Xia at the Buddhist Academy that time, I felt that I thought that: truly detached, truly compassionate, it is not rigid in any form, the red dust cannot be seen through, and if you really see it through, you will not be a monk, and you will not be able to control it. When you are on your own, you need a form, and use that form and discipline to restrain your behavior and mind. After his desire was satisfied, he planned to go back and concentrate on cultivation, but in the end, his wife's containment made him almost change his mind, so he never understood what he should cultivate? In the future, will he be able to restrain all his desires and concentrate on cultivation? Maybe~ Love Buddha like he loves his wife. To keep us from drying up alone, we must penetrate into the world to understand the laws of truth, and we don’t need to be bound by formality! It doesn't matter if you are a monk or a member of the world! Dashi did not understand it, but his wife realized it in the world. Human desires cannot be overcome. Even if you are a lama, you must have a choice between wanting to eat steamed buns or porridge, right? We can only restrain our desires, replace them one by one, and use the wisdom of joining the world to overcome and replace them. People are living a life in which one desire is fulfilled and another desire is pursued. . Otherwise it is suffering, so overcoming one desire is important and satisfying a thousand desires is equally important, because they are equal!

  • Apo: [his last letter to Tashi] I realize now that my task is not over, and so I will be returning to Samsara. I know that we shall meet again. Perhaps when we do you will be able to tell me what is more important: satisfying one thousand desires or conquering just one.
