life is practice

Life is practice, finding yourself in the experience of sounds, lights, and emotions. Being enclosed in a cave does not lead to further knowledge of the truth. There are many people in the world who are suffering, many people are enjoying, some people are suffering in their hearts, and some people are suffering in life. Only by going deep into the society can we better understand life, people, and ourselves.

At the end of the film, it is said that when a drop of water flows into the sea, it will not dry up. For Dashi, he practiced in a cave in the early days. He didn't understand the Dharma. He was actually a drop of water, eager to enter the world. In the later period, when he had a sufficient understanding of the world, he realized that his heart was not there, and continuing to live in the world meant that his heart would dry up. At this time, returning to the monastery meant entering the sea.

some excerpts

Prince Shakyamuni left the royal family and a luxurious life, and saw the suffering of the people for the first time on his golden carriage. That night, Prince Shakyamuni decided to leave his beautiful wife, Princess Yasodhara, and his son Rahula. Without saying goodbye, because he wants to find out why we suffer.

Everything you touch is where you learn the Dao.

Before the age of 29, Shakyamuni was still living a secular life, but since I was five years old, I have been living a life of asceticism after his escape from the world. How do we know that his enlightenment was also directly inspired by the secular life?

Where is the freedom promised to me, we are committed to abstinence, but where is the satisfaction promised to me?

The Buddha once said that you should not hear and accept my teachings unless you understand where I stand and what I mean.

There are some things we have to let go of our prejudices before we can really learn, and there are things we have to have before we can learn to let go.

I know my karma is not over, I will be reincarnated again, we will meet again, maybe then you will tell me what is more important. Satisfy a thousand desires, or conquer one.

Sakyamuni Prince Gautama Siddhartha Buddha, everyone knows, but what about Yasodhara? Yasodhara married Shakyamuni, she loved him very much, and one night Shakyamuni left her with him. Son Rahula, they were fast asleep and he went to seek enlightenment and become a Buddha. He didn't say anything when he left. Yasodhara cared about the sick. She treated them earlier than Sakyamuni, and she understood the suffering of the people earlier than Sakyamuni. Maybe his consciousness was inspired by her. How do we know that Yasodhara did not feel angry, lonely and miserable after Sakyamuni left, who would think about her? When her son Rahula kept asking where her father was, how should she answer, what should she do? How to tell him. How can a mother leave her son in the middle of the night, only a man can do it.

If your craving for the Dharma is as strong as your craving for me, you can become a Buddha.

How to keep a drop of water from drying up and let it flow into the sea.
