Woody Allen is okay

Recently I watched some Woody Allen movies in succession: "Anything", "Annie Hall" and "A Rainy Day in New York". I also watched "The End of the Game", which was in high school a few years ago. In fact, the first time I watched "Anything" was the summer vacation after graduating from high school. During that time, I watched "Westworld". I felt that Evan Rachel Wood was so beautiful, so I watched almost all of her movies. "Anything", "Annie Hall" and "A Rainy Day in New York" are all very similar in style, almost all of them are a babbled male protagonist, an old man, a middle-aged man, and a young man. There is no doubt that they are not played by Woody Allen themselves, or they are the incarnation of Woody Allen. The background is in New York, the hometown of Woody Allen. I often compare big directors. For me, I like history and culture. For me, watching movies is a process of learning history and culture. Therefore, my favorite movies are generally historical movies or reflect real life. I also like to watch some science fiction films, but they must be in-depth. For example, Ridley Scott, who is good at making science fiction films "Prometheus", "Alien" and "Blade Runner", and also good at making epic films "Kings of Heaven". "Gladiator" and "Exodus" are all my favorites. If science fiction films rise to the level of philosophy, aesthetics, and speculation, they are still great. In fact, those things discussed are also the philosophical propositions that human beings have always discussed, thinking about themselves and the universe, such as the "Bible" and "Frankenstein's Devil". According to my standards, Ang Lee is the best director, mainly because he is very proficient in both Chinese and Western cultures and can get all kinds of movies. Perhaps the only thing Western directors can do is Bertolucci, who filmed "The Last Emperor." Martial arts, science fiction, history, suspense, family, eroticism, Ang Lee can all bring it. He can be involved in the Western Regions Jiangnan and Beijing in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Taipei in the 1990s, England in the 18th century, the United States in the early 70s, the Iraq War, the Civil War, and the War of Resistance against Japan. It must be a huge amount of work, a lot of reading history, literature, materials, and literature-related works, otherwise it is difficult to be so exquisite in details. The span of Ang Lee's movie is really too big. In my eyes, Woody Allen is the complete opposite. Ang Lee seeks a breakthrough in almost every film, no matter in terms of technology, subject matter, excellence, ten years of sharpening a sword, a few years to produce a work; Woody Allen has works published almost every year. If Ang Lee's works are masterpieces of oil paintings carefully crafted, Woody Allen's movies are like a hodgepodge of sketches. After 2000, he did go to Rome, Paris, Barcelona, London, but the plot was almost the same. As far as the three movies I watched, they are all a lot of playful jokes. Some words are really funny and really thought-provoking, and I have to say that they have the regional characteristics of New York, but the constant stacking can also make life boring.
