The plot of the film is full, and many places with strong tastes are touched, creating a sparse and ordinary feeling, which makes people ponder.
The film not only deals with topics such as poverty, human animality, religion, ethics and morality, but also discusses the dilemma of the survival of the minority, the length and quality of life. A few of the survival dilemmas are supported by plots such as Chen Ping killing his father, Aling Po breaking his front teeth on his own, and helping an old woman who has lost his sense of smell to have intercourse. People who are the same as everyone and who are different from everyone do not deserve to live well. A few survival dilemmas still exist in the civilized world, which is an unsolvable problem. The thinking about the length and quality of life runs through the film. In a small mountain village with extreme material scarcity, the population must be strictly controlled, so the old and the young are abandoned. The baby is regarded as a lifeless person, and there is no reason to abandon the old. It is necessary to create legends such as mountain gods. Why is there such a saying that "snow is a good omen on the day of the mountain", I understand it is people's desire for the quality of life, when death becomes an inevitable event at a certain time due to human factors, People still yearn for a less painful death. The cold brought by the snow, intertwined with hunger, accelerates the death process and reduces the duration of pain, so it is said that "the day it snows heavily on Mt. Nara, the tree stump family's A Ling is very lucky". There is another point that I have thought about for a long time, and it may be biased, but I still want to summarize it, that is, the weak waste time, but they want to compete with others for time; the strong cherish time, but do not compete with others for time.
