Just like last summer, holding a copy of "Gone with the Wind" eagerly. However, they live in the UK.
Countless people have asked me, have you read Pride and Prejudice? But shook his head with a smile. It has been hidden in the corner of the bookshelf, and once wanted to pick it up, it was kept away because of the seemingly esoteric title.
There were too many ignorant prejudices in childhood. I didn't read "Pride and Prejudice", the beginning of prejudice.
Initially, fascinated by the 1940 version of the movie. Lawrence Oliver's deep face swept over me like any Hollywood star of the past. Although, the film has undergone a major adaptation, and finally has a happy ending typical of Hollywood early. This film about British love with a strong American flavor is enough to make me stop no matter what kind of praise or criticism I have experienced. Elizabeth seems to be herself, just from an ordinary family. She has only her own unique personality. Sigh now, how can there be a dance, the prelude to romantic love.
The 1940 version of the movie is fantasy. At this age, she is still moved by love and blinded.
"Gone with the Wind" is a struggle song in the American countryside. It floats in the sky and makes people head high. The unattainable environment, the simple rural life, is long gone.
Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice wasn't designed for a difficult life environment. Women don't need life torture, the only thing to worry about is lovers. It's more like a fantasy. The reading in front of the fireplace, the beautiful manor scenery, the amorous woman and gentleman. England was so quiet at this time. I've always been blinded and only see ecstatic love.
The cruelty of life today is different from that of centuries ago. Where is Mr. Darcy in that life? Austin's favorite vacation spot is Bath, England, however, even so wandering, did not meet the real Mr. Darcy. Always love to read those works from a century ago and fall into fantasy.
What makes Pride and Prejudice profound is undoubtedly its irony. Countless professors and students have written papers on it. For centuries, many people's ideas have remained the same, money-style marriage, poor hearts. Flattering, coquettish and arrogant villains like Collins are everywhere. There was a time when Mr. Collins' approach was perfectly suited to survival. In order to survive, there is nothing that cannot be changed.
There are more than enough women like Mrs. Bennett. It's just that today's people are more introverted and hide the ideal of lifelong struggle.
It's not a critique of any kind. In order to survive, Corinth's approach to doing things can be a compliment at any time. The most non-existent thing in the world is right and wrong.
At some point, I felt like I was a part of Collins. Both arrogant and arrogant. Sometimes, it's painful to be a person of character or to be a flatterer. There have been many beautiful dreams, and now it seems that all of them are based on money.
There are many more Elizabeths in this world. But it is difficult to say how much Darcy can be corrected.
Mrs. Bennett was foolish and reaps great happiness; Darcy hated Elizabeth's rude mother and relatives, and Elizabeth hated the arrogance of Darcy's nobles, and came together. Pride and Prejudice makes this even more certain, and there is no right or wrong in life. Interests, means, are often only for a simple purpose. Still alive, is the greatest happiness.
Perhaps, "Pride and Prejudice" gave me more the romance of love and the beauty of scenery, but it was not as stalwart as "Gone with the Wind". Today's eyes are still so short-sighted that they are easily deceived. The book is like a long conversation in front of the fireplace like a dream, and a chance encounter in the manor. The old British atmosphere is more intense. Longing to walk in Europe. In most places, they are still old, quietly telling the years.
First impressions of Pride and Prejudice. It brought me to Hollywood in the 30s and 40s of British Shakespeare Prince, Lawrence Oliver. Constantly rendering romance and fantasy. mocking fools, mocking the so-called truth of life, mocking life. Harsh classicism, Wilde's beauty and famous irony. England, it's really hard.

Pride and Prejudice quotes

  • Elizabeth Bennet: I tremble and obey.

  • Elizabeth Bennet: You know him so little.

Charlotte Lucas: Well, ignorance is bliss, Lizzie. If one is to spend one's life with a person, it's best to know as little as possible of his defects. After all, one would find them out soon enough.
