pride makes progress

A family with five daughters can be quite lively.
In order to marry them all, no wonder my mother is so nervous.
The two women laughed when they were racing the carriage in order to race against time to snatch the golden tortoise-in-law.
1940's black and white film with British accent is very good.
It's just that the strength of the female pig's feet is a little too strong. Not quite the saucy spirit in the novel.
Probably the actress is more mature than the female pig's feet.
In addition, it is very easy for foreigners to propose marriage in ancient times.

No man can be in love with look so bored.

Just because there are too many changes to the plot... Tutu skirts, archery, courtyard parties, bloated running, American debauchery... You thought you were filming Gone with the Wind?

I really can't appreciate this old pompous style. There is no comparison with the BBC version, that is, the 05 movie version of Keira Knightley's Lizzy is far more charming than this lady's interpretation. Mr Darcy was all right, but nothing bright. The level of characters has been simplified a bit too much, and I really don't like the ending. The best Darcy and Elizabeth in my heart are the BBC's.

Pride and Prejudice quotes

  • Mrs. Bennet: Oh! And, Jane, if Mr. Bingley should suggest a stroll before dinner, don't refuse. For instance, they just delightfully secluded walks in those shrubberies around that field.

    Jane Bennet: Yes, Mama.

Elizabeth Bennet: [looking up at the storm clouds approaching] There won't be much strolling today, Mama.

Mrs. Bennet: Oh, dear me! I'm afraid you're right! Oh! And I had such hopes for those shrubberies!

  • Caroline Bingley: Oh, you didn't come alone, I hope.

    Elizabeth Bennet: All alone.

    Caroline Bingley: But how shocking!
