Perfect Lizzy

My favorite is Pride and Prejudice, which I personally think is the closest to the original version, especially Elizabeth Bennet (Lizzy) & Fitzwilliam Darcy performed by Greer Garson / Laurence Olivier. The acting skills of the two famous actors are evident from this. ; At the same time, the supporting roles in the play, such as the mother Mrs.Bennet also performed very vivid, very good, very humorous, a romantic comedy. In contrast, the 2005 remake of Keira Knightley's version is really terrible, the film is blunt and dark, and there is absolutely no desire to watch it. The rest are probably from the early BBC, not as good as the 1940 Greer Garson / Laurence Olivier version, which is a classic! Worth seeing! It should be N look, ha!

Greer Garson's version of Elizabeth is too sophisticated

Part of the lines completely used the original sentence, but for important plots such as Lizzy and uncle going to Pemberley, weddings, too many deletions. Lizzy is more calm and decent than other versions. Jane is not beautiful and stable and has no sense of presence. Darcy is overly active and writes more about Mary and Kitty. Lydia is the most fixed in each version, and even looks similar. However, the atmosphere of the old movies is still incomparable, and the voice of the characters can cure the irritability.

Pride and Prejudice quotes

  • Mrs. Bennet: Now, Jane, don't forget what I told you. Don't be too distant with him, and, be sure to laugh when he makes a joke.

Mr. Bennet: Yes, even if it's a bad one.

Elizabeth Bennet: Especially if it's a bad one.

  • Mrs. Bennet: Dear, try to sit where he can see you in profile. You know, dear, although I say I shouldn't, you have the loveliest profile in all Hampshire.
