The male protagonist is an excellent general and a man with a true temperament. His unswerving loyalty to the motherland and his infinite love for life attracts the beautiful lady in the film, Anna. Their love was originally a betrayal of faith, especially in such an era of war and a turbulent country, but with the outbreak of war and the precipitation of time, their truest voices guide each other toward each other.
This tortuous and obscure love broke out after Anna learned that Alexander did not go abroad. On the train, Anna packed her luggage and went to the forest area alone to find Alexander, just for a firm belief in her heart - I want to watch you live. On every subsequent expedition, speeches, and even arrests after Alexander's failure, Anna stayed by his side, watching him live. Faith is the driving force and source that supports a person's progress. As long as a person has a certain belief and is willing to devote himself to it, this person is brave and invincible.
The film shows the power of faith in the context of love, and the preciousness of faith in the context of war. In Alexander we see faith at the cost of one's life, but what about us? Living in a society that lacks beliefs, I don't really live for myself at all.
