Part 1
Will the crushed person meet again? Will TA still hear those unspoken confessions?
Maybe, you will find the answer in Shunji Iwai's movie "Love Letter".
At the beginning of summer, I saw the movie "Love Letter" re-released. So, on a hot and humid night, I walked into the crowd, walked for 20 minutes, and re-watched the movie at a cinema near the community.
I have forgotten that I watched this movie under the attraction of the novel in that month, and some scenes are still fresh in my memory. The small town in Hokkaido is quiet and peaceful, the snow in Otaru is beautiful and vast, and the short-haired Fujii Tree has a bright smile. The boy Fujii Tree rides down from the hillside and wraps the girl's head with a bag.
After a lapse of many years, watching this movie again, I was surprised by the calmness of my mood. The story is still the same story, the plot is intricate and artistic. But after reading it, I didn't have any emotion or regret, just indifferent.
For a moment, I even sympathized with the protagonist Hiroko, in the years when she was with the boy Fujii, did Fujii really love her?
Part 2
"Miss Watanabe believes in love at first sight? Please be my girlfriend!" A voice asked nervously but with certainty.
These are the words of the taciturn and somewhat strange Fujii-ki when he first met Hiroko Watanabe.
After two weeks of serious consideration, Bozi replied, "I believe your love at first sight." After that, the two dated and got engaged.
It wasn't until two years after Fujii's death in an accident that Hiroko accidentally met another Fujii.
On the second anniversary of Fujii Tree, Hiroko accidentally found the address where he was in middle school in Otaru City. I couldn't help but wrote a letter to him, only to receive a reply from him.
The other party was surprised by Bozi's greetings and concern, but he did not refuse. He also wrote to Bozi about his recent cold. Bozi, who is determined to love, did not show surprise after seeing the letter, she believed that the letter came from heaven. She really thought her boyfriend was ill, and immediately sent cold medicine.
After a lot of twists and turns, Hiroko suddenly understood that the other party was a girl with the same class as Fujii Tree and the same name and surname. More coincidentally, this girl looks very similar to Bo Zi.
Part 3
Through correspondence, Hiroko carefully inquired about everything related to Fujii Tree: good or bad study, good at sports or not good at sports, good or bad personality, what kind of person is the first love?
She wondered if "love at first sight" was just an excuse? And is she just a substitute for the girl Fujii?
Gradually, the story of the male Fujii tree and the female Fujii tree surfaced, and he wrote the name over and over again on the blank card of the book no one had borrowed: Fujii tree. He pretended to answer that she didn't care about him at all.
He secretly painted his feelings for her on the back of the book "Reminiscence of Time Like Water", knocked on her door before transferring to another school, and asked her to return the book. He hoped that she could discover the secrets in the book, but in the end he hesitated, just looked at her hesitantly at the door for a while, and then rode away.
A secret love with twists and turns in the past of a teenager, with the correspondence between Hiroko and Fujii, the truth is revealed.
At the end of the movie, the girl Fujii Shu received the "Reminiscence of the Years Like Water Volume 7/Reappearing Time" delivered by the school girls, she saw the sideways sketch portrait of her youth behind the library card and couldn't help shedding. tears. The story arrives here, as if it has been turned a thousand times, but it is suddenly enlightened.
Part 4
I prefer the ending of the book to the movie.
Mr. Akiba stepped forward, put his hands on his mouth, and shouted, "Fujii! Are you still singing Matsuda Seiko's song? Will it be cold over there? Hiroko is mine now!"
At the end, he quietly pretended to echo "Okay...Okay...Okay...", he turned to look at her, "Look, he said yes."
He grabbed Watanabe's shoulder and pushed her forward hard. "Talk to him, there will be some complaints and misses, go." She looked at him hesitantly and moved forward slowly, a small step, a small step, the pace getting faster and faster, and finally almost stumbled. Get up and running.
Mr. Akiba choked a little. She fell, her coat slipped, and she only wore an orange sweater. She turned her head to look at Mr. Akiba, and the two smiled at each other. Panting, she ran to the distance and shouted with all her strength at the snowy mountain.
Are you OK? I'm very good!
Are you OK? I'm very good!
...
She shouted until her throat choked, and finally covered her face and cried. In the endless snow, her figure stood on its own under the rising sun, and her tears poured out like a belated rainstorm.
Part 5
The story of Fujii and Fujii, and the story of Fujii and Hiroko, is still a mystery. But perhaps the answer is no longer important.
There is no right or wrong in love and no reason. It's like the male Fujii tree likes the female Fujii tree in middle school, even if he doesn't get a response; just like Akiba's love for Hiroko early on, but he didn't talk about it.
The most attractive part of the film "Love Letter" is that it can make people take the trouble to sort out the youth over and over again, and reminisce the greatness and futility of love again and again.
In those long-lost years, when you look back, you can always find something that shines.
Everything is as Iwai Shunji said, "Although I have experienced the baptism of years, my sincere perception has not been erased. Life is short, but love is eternal. To have someone to miss is happiness."
