I do not advocate poverty, I advocate temperance. We have developed a consumer society that constantly seeks to grow, and when it stops growing, it is a tragedy. We create a lot of unnecessary demand, and you have to keep buying things and throwing them away. This is the life we squander. When we buy something, we don’t pay for money, we pay for the time in our lives that we have to earn. The difference is that we can't buy life, it just passes. Too bad, wasting your life and losing your freedom.
