The movie is very real, the people in the band don't pretend at all, they don't want to look like Uranus, you can see them in the movie with their rosy, pitted faces without makeup, you can see Jonsi leaning barefoot Playing with the guitar on the sofa, suddenly looking up to find the camera shyly running away... They are just a group of young people who like music, ordinary people. They enjoyed the process of making music without having to deal with lawyers for it. They were performing on the dam, trying to oppose the construction of this ugly monster, but it was a done deal. They are a bunch of idealists who, like us, are helpless in the face of politics. Can music really change the world? Didn't Gore win this year's Nobel Peace Prize? Paul Draper (ex Mansun) replied: I don't believe in the stupid idea of music changing the world, unless you're a complete politician.
The scenery of Iceland in the movie is very beautiful, I just want to sit by the sea and watch the children play until the tide goes out, sit around the campfire and watch the silhouette of the band, hug the dead grass and wild flowers... everything is very simple, just as Lao Tzu describes it "Small country with few people".
The last Untitled 8 was really crazy, my mind went blank and I just felt like Sigur Rós was a god! In music, they are gods!
PS: Jónsi even had a little flower pinned to his hat when he played on the hillside :)
