The idea of this film is good, and the means of new energy technology are also very novel. Specifically, it is to "copy" our current universe, create a mirror-like thing, and then extract energy from this mirror. This is like a future organ transplant, where the recipient can be cloned, and then the required "parts" are extracted from the clone, but the premise is that the clone cannot be a conscious living body, otherwise it will involve ethical and legal issues. . Similarly, the mirror universe is supposed to be a purely material world without organic life, but for some reason, the new technology also replicates the organic creatures on it when replicating our material universe. This is the biggest problem that William will face after crossing into the mirror universe, which universe to save. The film uses two different visual angles in the filming method. In the original universe, the third-party perspective is used, while in the mirror universe, William's perspective (shooting game visual sense) is used. In addition, all the text in the mirror universe is used. It's all the other way around.
But the filmmakers took such a good idea and a lot of gimmicks to make such a film, which is really regrettable. First of all, as a suspenseful sci-fi film, the suspense setting of this film is seriously insufficient. After the whole film, there is no shocking reversal or any mysterious behind-the-scenes mastermind. For example, the use of the black box that everyone robbed in the film , it is estimated that apart from the characters in the film, the audience has already guessed it. Secondly, the plot of this film has too many slots, such as the super bad drone marksmanship (you can't hit even if you stand there still), for example, in order to highlight the first-person vision, William was hit and killed in various ways. After being thrown (out of a car, out of a plane), it's still fine. In addition, there are also many loopholes in the setting of the characters in the film. For example, Mike is completely a "brain fan" of William, and his behavior is unprincipled. Another example is that the big boss did not bring a bodyguard to meet William on the plane. The reason for persuading William to destroy the original universe is even more bizarre. Is it to sacrifice himself to destroy the mirror universe that does not exist, or to return to the original universe to meet his family again. If the family is finished together, even a fool knows to choose the former. In short, this film wastes all the advantages that can add points to the film. If you want to find bright spots, then in addition to the appearance of the male and female lead actors, the excellent special effects are barely counted.
