It's obviously a big wedding and church but don't tell May. Tell her it's a small private wedding so she can't be included.
The reason for all this came to light when George arrived at the wedding venue. Her homophobic friend. Trouble in her family (parents divorced mother still remembers father). She dared not cause any more unnecessary trouble. I'm actually a little pissed, I don't think she's brave enough. But if I put me in her situation, would I be braver? I don't think so.
It's hard to be brave. It really is.
