"Bad Times" is a modern take on the age-old idea that "character is destiny". The movie churns time like a salad, a design that severes the connection between the characters and the world around them, and it makes no difference what they do, quarrel or not quarrel about. What matters is the toxic magic in their personalities, and from the moment they meet, they board a high-speed train to their grotesque fate.
