Time does not wear away the beauty of old things

Last year, I took the Russian-Soviet film class and wrote about my impressions. I still remember the way a group of strangers of the right age laughed and applauded this work nearly 40 years ago in a dark classroom on a snowy night.

I watched the movie, "The Office Story" in my first class.
Strictly speaking, this is the first Soviet film I've ever seen. Moreover, this film has traveled through nearly forty years, in a house that has also experienced many years, on a romantic and peaceful evening, it came into my field of vision. This magical experience accompanied me and made me feel for the first time that when everyone in a dark classroom looked at the screen with a more pious look than in the theater, and at this moment only the projector was naughty flashing, that kind of Purely for the charm conveyed by the film.
The beginning of the story did not arouse much interest in me. The characters, scenery, and shots all made me feel a long and dull sense of the times. At the beginning of the appearance of the director of the Bureau of Statistics, Lyudmila, I even thought that this was the male lead. With her shiny back and stern expression, I was completely unable to guess how the film would unfold if she was the main character to be told. And the hero Navaserichev also puzzled me a little. He doesn't have the splendid temperament and looks like people in the current consumer age. Rather, he is clumsy, unattractive, and somewhat cowardly. Before the plot unfolded, it was the introduction of the group portraits of these characters, but the strange thing was that, because of the characteristics of these characters, which were either bland or philistine, it gradually made me feel great. of curiosity.
Previously, Lyudmila's view of Navachev was "mediocre and listless", and Navachev's evaluation of her was not very good, "She doesn't know there are children in the world. No, she thought they were all born with the organization's establishment." The two have a very bad impression of each other. The opportunity to change their relationship was a vacant position - the director of the Light Industry Division. Jobs were vacant, and Navachev was fed up with his current job—he thought he could do more. At this time, his classmates and friends Yuri Gregoryevich, Eureka, and Olia, urged him to approach the director, negotiate with her, and get the position. And the banquet held at Eureka's house turned out to be a wonderful opportunity.
However, the plot starts to take a sharp turn here. Failing to find a job made Navachev look ridiculous in front of Lyudmila. Under the attack of alcohol and depressed mood, Navasericheff actually confided his long-standing disgust for Lyudmila in front of the public. As a result, he sobered up the next day and had no choice but to apologize. However, the apology failed, and instead made the director cry. The two roles are reversed, which makes people laugh. The vivid image of this episode is at its extreme. The humorous and funny interpretation, which spans decades, still makes the whole classroom laugh out loud today.
But now, looking at Lyudmila crying, I can't help but wonder, what did she do wrong?
She is a woman who is no longer young. She is unsmiling, her face is cold, she is very demanding and responsible for her work. At the same time, she is also a lonely pride, she is not liked by others and is considered a cold-blooded animal. Every morning, when the female staff do their meticulous eyebrows and make-up, she sits in the office without makeup and wearing boring clothes. She was considered eccentric.
However, no one does not want to be cared for and loved by others. When Navachev said those words to her, when she shed tears, I don't think she was an exception. It's just that everyone in this world expresses their feelings in different ways and has different temperaments. People like her, as women, are stubborn and proud. Self-discipline and give the impression of being cold. But the more it is like this, the more other people feel the distance from her, and the less willing they are to give her care, and the pride in her heart makes her unable to speak and ask for anything. As a result, the wall is getting stronger and stronger, and it is extremely difficult to change anything.
This makes me feel a little bit. Not everyone likes to appeal to their loneliness and ask for help. The more he wants to prove his own ability in an upright manner, the more he is reluctant to reveal his sadness. However, perhaps such people are more eager to be recognized and accompanied by others. However, after all, people cannot understand the depths of a person from the expression. Only real contact and conversation can get a real understanding of them. It's a pity that there are too many people in the world who are unwilling to delve into the heart surging under that face.
Fortunately, Navaserichev did it in the end. Cowardly and gentle, he blasted the wall like a cannon.
As I was sitting in the seat, I felt for the first time that there is something that can go through the changes of the times and age, but still be appreciated and pleasant. The charm of film lies in this, and so is the art. There is an aesthetic that lives on.
