Recently, I finally bought the DVD of this movie and spent an afternoon quietly enjoying the peace and joy this work brought me.
When the background music was slowly flowing, I watched the bustling crowd under the camera, walking from the crowded street to the Bureau of Statistics with an old Russian style to work. I squeezed into the elevator, my acquaintances started to talk to each other, and I had to follow my colleagues who I knew or didn’t know. Finally, I sat in my seat. The women began to meticulously dress up (except our female director), busy That's how the day started. A picture of the daily life of the former Soviet Union is vividly unfolded for us.
I especially like the small balcony that the director arranged for the female chief, I know there is her sunrise and sunset there. Our male protagonist is calculating his imperfect report, the beautiful female secretary is busy knitting sweaters, the colleagues in the bureau are passing all kinds of news on the phone, the union chairman is talking about everyone's family life, the newcomer The deputy director is full of style---
of course, the theme of this film is love, a love that makes people feel warmer. The sloppy and monotonous female director and the unattractive male staff with two children alone, these two people who seem to be completely out of line, are getting closer and closer in time and again in contradictions and conflicts. Although real life has given them different roles and expressions, but fortunately, they have seen each other's sincerity in the chaos. This story is not earth-shattering or sad, but it makes us have to be moved and have to believe that life is inadvertently revealed by you.
I have to say that the director is a master storyteller, and the film is impeccable in terms of rhythm and plot handling. There's no bizarre visual impact, no box-office calls from movie stars, or even a bit of a special gimmick. It's only the story itself that captivates you from start to finish. Perhaps, you often forget that you are watching a movie and smiling knowingly every now and then. After watching it, every time I think about it, I can feel the comfort of my soul. I think that's the real standard of a good movie.
