The film "The Last Time" (France) --- a film of one person

I think this is a movie that has nothing to do with homosexuality or family and friendship. This is a movie about one person, a movie about a dying person slowly saying goodbye to the rest of the time.

The time that Luomen died was sober and could not come back. Maybe he didn't need to think about it, but he already knew how to leave. He can always see himself as a child, and maybe when death really comes, he will miss those times that were once insignificant, those times that left even a fingerprint in the roulette of life.

The 31-year-old photographer Roman has terminal cancer and may live a year or three months. He didn't tell anyone about it, his parents and sisters included his beloved same-sex 'girlfriend' Sasha.

He just chose to say goodbye slowly. He goes to see his parents and argues with his sister Sophie. When his father sent him back, he hugged his father and cried, and that was the way Romon chose to say goodbye to his father in the deepest part of his heart.

Father asked: Are you okay with Sasha?

Luomenhui: Like many old couples, they have become life killers.

At this time, the movie switches to the appearance of Luomen's same-sex girlfriend Saxia. Luomen may want to tell Saxia that he is about to die, but he finally chose not to say anything, but said that they broke up, saying that there is no feeling between them and there is only a little desire. Can't talk about feelings. This hurt Sasha and finally left him, but Romon still secretly helped Sasha get a job.

This reminds me of a scene where Roman looked in the mirror and seemed to see himself as a child. He said: I want to tell you that I love you very much, but I am going to die. I think this is for Sasha. He loves Sasha.

Perhaps since Sasha's departure, Luomen began to think about his last remaining time. He went to a gay bar and saw countless men who were pleasing each other making out together. The background music was a bit mysterious and seemed to come from an unreal time and space. This was a lonely group.

He went to visit his grandmother, the diner on the journey, the strange woman, and they talked. "Usually people don't visit the people they want to see until they're dying."

He told his grandmother about his illness. Grandma asked why you told me. He said it was because we had the same disease.

Grandma said: I want to go with you tonight. He started crying...he looked at those old photo albums. He hugged his grandmother and accompanies her to sleep.

He went to the forest of his childhood, he wanted to find those happy times, and all was not there. He saw his father lead him down a forest path, a wounded rabbit.

Early morning, bright light, beautiful grandmother's house. He said goodbye to grandmother to take pictures of grandmother. His grandmother gave him the flowers he had just picked in the morning. Life is like a flower that always has to be thanked. In a specially magnified shot in the movie, all the roses have withered, and the light that slowly pans, like Luomen's life can not be brilliant again.

It was the same small restaurant where the woman said she wanted to ask him for a surrogacy. He rejected him saying he didn't like the kids and he drove away. The background shook and flashed quickly.

Sasha has already left. He misses him.

Mineral water, beer bottles, cigarettes, ashtrays, photos, withered flowers. Ear hoop on the left ear, silver bracelet on the right, cross choker. A man's last.

He started vomiting by the toilet, and he was lying on the floor by the toilet, in the bathtub. He was with the doctor, and there was continuous rain on the glass window. He finally made an appointment with Sasha, and he wanted to have sex with him one last time, stroking his skin. Sasha said it was all over. For Luomen, everything he did was saying goodbye to his life and Sasha.

Letter from my sister who is always quarrelling. He calls his sister. He was not far from his sister. He didn't walk over. He looked at his sister and pressed the camera. He hobbled away, grey attire and sunglasses, behind a large field of green and playground children.

He saw his childhood self again and again, happy, smiling, and slightly sad. The light flickered on and off, and the pale-faced Luomen always seemed to hear the baby's cry.

He finally agreed to the women in the diner to help them have a child. When he was two months old, he left a will and gave everything to the child. He just wanted to feel the child moving. He shaved his hair.

The last block, he bought light blue towels, ate ice cream, seaside, beach, swimming. Photograph.

smokes. sandy beach. Smile. crowd. pale. Photograph. He saw himself again. He lay down slowly, smiling face, vivid and serene.

sunset. people. spread. Empty beach. desolate. He lay there, dying quietly. The sound of the tide, if there is no music, the end, like a funeral, is only Roman's.

ps: Actor Melvil Poupand is very handsome, his acting skills are amazing, and every subtle look in his eyes is more worrying. Especially the few scenes of crying, I was deeply moved.

  • [Romain's mother expresses her interest in Romain taking photographs of the family]

Sophie: Save you breath, Mom. We're not hip enough. He prefers actresses and models.

La mère: Don't say that. He just hasn't had time yet.

    Le père: Of course.

    Romain: No, she's right.

La mère: Why do you say that?

Romain: I don't want to photograph her kids.

    Le père: Romaine, stop.

    Sophie: Leave it, Dad.

Romain: And you know why? Because they sprang from you, and your ugly mug would be in the picture. It makes me want to puke.

    La mère: Romaine, stop it!

Romain: No wonder your man left. It's like you made the kids alone.

  • Le père: How are things with Sasha?

Romain: Not bad, not great. We'll probably break up soon.

    Le père: Shit. Why?

Romain: Like in all couples, routine kills desire.
