Promise, speechless, unconscious.
After a long silence, I wanted to reminisce about something, but I couldn't think of anything except for a few gorgeous scenes full of fake animations. After thinking hard, I remembered a few names: Wuhuan, Wang, General, Slave, Qingcheng, and the prophet played by Chen Hong (only when I went online, I knew it was Manshen).
What's the story? Can't figure it out. What is Promise? I don't understand.
I suddenly asked myself: Is it because I have experienced a little over the past few years, and have experienced and heard many stories, and I have watched one blockbuster film after another, is there a lack of temptation to be moved, or a reason for shock?
I suddenly remembered a novel I read a long time ago: "Illusionary City". It is the famous work of the young writer Guo Jingming. But why is this novel still available after so long in the past?

Although Wuji seems mysterious, the main lines are nothing more than three: first, people can escape or cannot escape fate; second, the love or wrong love of a woman and two men; perverted. No matter which line is drawn, it will not be something shocking or shocking: the first is only mysterious, the second is vulgar, and the third is just lace anecdote.
But really great movies are definitely not these things. No matter what kind of cost input, no matter what kind of packaging design, what kind of shooting technique, what a truly great film needs is the exploration of human nature, the eulogy of the great human emotion, what needs to be touching and shocking.
The same is the expression of fantasy, compared to the young writer's "Imaginary City", other than that, only the main line of brotherly love between Ka Suo and Ying Kongshi that transcends the struggle for power is enough to shake the world and shock the world.
I understand, it's not that I'm numb, it's that Chen Kaige has lost his basic judgment as a director who wants to achieve a big career. He is caught in big-budget production, hype, and business. He forgot to think about his basic story. If you want to use mystery and three-dimensionality, you will let the audience pay and applaud, and forget the fundamentals of movies.
I think Chen Kaige has gone backwards.
I think Wuji will only be a big-budget film, and it may have a good box office, but it won't leave much.
I think, Promise is only for viewing, not for aftertaste.
