Garden Party-Relive Love

The writing of this poem was inspired by the classic American musical "West Side Story". The selected song I Feel Pretty was sung by the heroine Maria when she just fell in love.

"I feel pretty, oh so pretty

I feel beautiful, oh very beautiful

I feel pretty and witty and bright

I am in a happy mood, no worries

And I pity any girl who isn't me tonight

Girls, you are not me today, I am so sorry..."

The passionate melody, wearing a string of extremely happy love bubbles-summer-like passion, was properly ignited.

The male protagonist Tony once joined a gang and had enemies with the gang where Maria's brother belongs. Therefore, after he and her fell in love at the prom, they could only meet in private. Maria works in a tailor's shop, and Tony sneaks to find her when she is off work that day. The two imagined the mannequin shelf in the shop as each other's parents, and they had a very interesting and sweet conversation.

The golden outline reflects your face

Like a crowned angel

Shake a pair of glowing wings

Take a sip of Portuguese pulp

Smile overflowing with gems

Proudly rose and blooming peach

Xia Zhizhi is so fragrant

Like your vigorous breath

In the palm of your hand

Knotted a splendid yarn

Oh my veil is so beautiful

Glamorous and stunning

Venus dancing like an exotic elf

Vault roundabout

Sleepless

Step on your stave

Hot notes burned on the soles of the feet

High is poetry and low is dream

Stupidly indistinguishable

Who is writing poems who is dreaming

Doing homework for glee episode 5, now it's a boy like that, Lea finally has a duet with Naya. I haven't watched this disc for a long time. The musicals in the early movies do not have the wonderful scene switching of "Chicago". The choreography is already exciting enough. There is a shadow of it in "Rent", which I like very much.

Zhu Luo adapted the New York street version of the 1950s and 1960s musicals, with beautiful songs but somehow contradictory (perhaps too long). Compared with the plot, the art design definitely has five stars, especially the aerial shot at the beginning, the chalk on the wall at the end, and the super saturated color scheme. It is worth mentioning that the influence of this and 68 version of Luo Zhu on the modern version of 1996 is obvious.

West Side Story quotes

  • Lieutenant Schrank: [as they exit] Say goodbye to the nice boys, Krupke.

    Officer Krupke: Goodbye, boys.

    Snowboy: [mimicking Krupke] "Goodbye, boys."

Action: [mimicking Shranke] "You hoodlums don't own the streets."

Snowboy: "Go play in the park!"

Action: "Keep off of the grass."

    Ice: "Get outta the house!"

    Action: "Keep off the block!"

    A-Rab: "Get outta here!"

Action: "Keep off of the world!" A gang that don't own the street is nothin'!

    Riff: WE DO OWN IT!

  • Lieutenant Schrank: You Puerto Ricans get what you've been itching for, use of the playground, use of the gym, the streets, the candy store. So what if you do turn this whole town into a stinkin' pig sty?

Bernardo: [Bernado jumps up but the Jets stop him from attacking Schrank]

Lieutenant Schrank: Don't stop him! He wants to get home, write a few letters to San Juan tell 'em how he's got it made over here! What I mean is... Clear out, you! I said, clear out!

Bernardo: [Bernardo and the Sharks move towards Schrank]

Lieutenant Schrank: Yeah, sure, I know. It's a free country, I ain't got the right. But I got a badge. What do you got? Things are tough all over. Beat it.

Bernardo: [Bernardo and the Sharks leave, whistling] My Country 'Tis of Thee...
