"Range": Commercially stylized POSE show Wen/Vulcan The evil road in the right way or the right way in the evil road. How many things can be decided in the difference of our thoughts; perhaps, it is not important. What is important is how we look at everything. ——Vulcan Ji. Inscription.

[] Disappointment that the action is not unexpected

This is a movie that disappoints me. Jet Li, who has worked hard in Hollywood for many years, is at best treated as a display prop. Relatively speaking, the role weight is more like the previous "Fatal Cradle" or this "Ranger". Allow Jet Li to play to his strengths, just to show a few classic POSE that he is famous for. As a martial arts star or an international action superstar, all his achievements seem to stay in the series of "Shaolin Temple", "Fang Shiyu", "Zhongnanhai Bodyguard" and "Huang Feihong" that we still talk about, and there is no breakthrough. Tsui Hark and Jet Li, Yuan Heping and Jet Li, the combination of such a combination in Hong Kong movies has written an extremely glorious film history for us, and Jet Li’s solo flight in Hollywood does not seem to be able to surpass its former glory; in other words, His brilliance has not yet been rewritten and bloomed again in Hollywood. It should be said that the disappointment in this movie is not the disappointment of the movie, but only from the huge halo that Jet Li once shining; the action scenes are small, the poses are mostly cool, the expressions are dull and the Chinese English is spoken. Inability to exploit strengths and circumvent weaknesses is full of disadvantages. Jet Li does not need to fight hard, but only needs to put on a few wooden expressions and stand there and take a few close-up shots to receive the pay, so Jet Li's free and smooth flow will no longer be seen. In the action performance, Jet Li's upright and handsome kung fu can no longer be seen. The concerted efforts of first- and second-tier actors in Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States did not add much to the film. Jet Li, who has lost his style, Jason Statham, who died in Luc Besson’s "Very Human Trafficker", is unable to break through the cruel female killer Dai Wen Aoki in "Sin City", and Zheng Haonan, who starred in his true colors, is extremely dramatic. The little Shiqiaoling is also far less impressive than the deep impression he left me in "Skin-Fighting Love", and the dragon who has basically retired... All these people put together a mess of jumbled guns. Fire action, except for a somewhat guaranteed box office in Asia, I don't see how much this movie might have made. Everyone stays in the halo of the roles that have been shaped before, and puts them together abruptly without any breakthrough. How much hope can we hope for commercial movies created with Hollywood's most basic commercial craftsmanship. Perhaps, because I was going to watch this movie for Jet Li's action scenes, it is not surprising that I was disappointed with this movie. [ II ] Imagination staying outside of the movie

More imagining of this movie may be the greatest pleasure this movie brings to me. It can be said that the suspense set in this movie can basically take me all the way through the movie; Jet Li’s role played a certain role. Ranger: Wandering between the two gangs of the Triad and the Yamaguchi group is also outside the two gangs, and the non-neutrals have not separated from any of them. This role at least made me wonder what kind of career the ranger did in the movie in the final ending of the movie; the final identity switch of the movie did not bring me much surprise, similar to this kind of role transition in the Hollywood script. There seems to be no stranger to it. And what I am interested in may be the process of a character's overall transformation from appearance to psychology during the period of three years as an FBI agent who was dormant for revenge for his family. Of course, in this movie, it was only lightly touched, so all this can only be fulfilled by imagination. Facing a happy family that has been destroyed, watching the beloved wife and daughter die violently, set fire to the painstakingly managed home, just for revenge. The psychological transformation of a character seems to be completely completed only in the switching of a few shots, but this kind of transformation has a lot of unreasonable points. If all this is a premeditated, then maybe I can still understand that a moment of change of mind can make a person completely give up all that once had and endure the humiliation and dormant for three years to wait for the opportunity seems a bit taken for granted. The transition of human nature and the transition of life are completed in one thought, and the major transformation completed in a few sets of shots is extremely unconvincing. This may be the biggest failure of this movie's script, abandoning a highly impactful and selling point plot setting and turned to superficial and formal killing. The imagination that stays outside the movie may not be what I want, but the biggest shortcoming of this movie. If this film focuses on and more space to describe the psychological and human transformation of this new-born ranger, and focuses on all these things shown in this film; perhaps the level of the whole film will be even higher. The focus of the wrong point is the biggest failure of this movie in the script. The superficial narration and formal expression techniques make this movie completely mediocre.

Ranger

Ranger, skilled hunter and stalker, good at all simple weapons and military weapons, and good at fighting. With the unique romantic complex and chivalrous fantasies of Chinese people, this movie was crowned with such a name. However, this is in line with the taste of Jet Li's role in this movie. The night walk in Jinyi does not punish the strong and help the weak, nor does it punish the evil and rape, how can it be chivalrous; just to restore the vengeance of the one loved, not a knight, but more like a lonely lonely man Swordsman, not a hero of the East. Wandering between the two big gangs, not for money or fame, provoking the hatred and anger of the two big gangs and letting them burn, wearing killer clothes and doing police work; or shooting and killing FBI agents who have taken bribes and corruption , Only to try to be brave for a while, this is somewhat like a medieval western ranger. This may be an enviable lifestyle. There are no restrictions, no rules of the game, everything just depends on your own preferences and judgments of right and wrong to determine the behavior and the way forward; the ending of the movie seems to give me such a feeling. The ranger in his car roams the bustling city; the next stop will be the gang who was razed by him. However, this is not a value worth promoting; even with such ability, it is still not worth promoting. The movie seemed to give a powerful and unrestrained ending. It's just that this ending is unreasonable in my opinion. When a person is undergoing a drastic change in his life, it is impossible for him to move from one role to another in a blink of an eye; of course, the explanation in this movie is that he gave up his original identity for revenge. After changing his identity, he lived in the dark and spied on his enemies, he could do it in order to slash the enemy. But when he finally completed his mission, when one day he really took care of all his enemies with his own hands, would he be able to leave in such a free and easy way like Jet Li? In my opinion, the smashing of a famous "ranger" has made him a little dizzy. When he said that he was no longer the FBI but a ranger, he was not as handsome as Zhou Xingxing who said I'm sorry I was an undercover agent, so he killed the boss of the Yamaguchi group and played happily, and shot his former partner and killed him comfortably. But he actually left so briskly, driving his luxury sports car and wearing a suit to wipe out the black forces. What this character lacks is the commonality of human nature. He does not have the happiness, sadness, pain, or even the simplest emotional fluctuations that should be in human nature. Free and easy is enough, but this is more like a machine than a flesh and blood person. Such a character does not conform to the warmth of Eastern chivalry, nor does it conform to the definition of ranger in Western aesthetics. Commercial films, commercial-style POSE shows, maybe I shouldn't expect it to bring us much shock and philosophical thinking. As long as the movie can meet the visual aesthetic point of view and a story that is still smooth and not boring, that's it. An investment of 25 million yuan is not a big deal in Hollywood movies, so for this kind of purely commercial movie, what else should we ask for is too demanding.
