In a prison experiment, the participants were divided into two groups, each acting as guards and prisoners. This setting caught my attention. First of all, this is an artificially set closed environment. The two opposing parties face dual rules: one is the rules that must be followed in this closed world (the guardian and the prisoner, the condition for maintaining a balance of power is not to use violence), and the other is that both sides are very clear. Real world rules. In other words, everyone enters this world with their previous identities and rules. These two rules are in conflict. The so-called human nature is highlighted in the conflict.
The conflict is caused by disobedience to the rules of this environment, but the cause is that the prisoner believes that this is a game, so it is not necessary to strictly obey the prison rules, and subconsciously does not agree with the overwhelming power of the guards. Conflicts always start with individuals with strong personalities. So a central figure appeared on each side. One side suppresses, the other opposes suppression. Gradually, both parties forget that this is just a game, forget the equal status of the previous world, and completely enter the role of this world. The creators of this game lack the necessary vigilance and timely control of the situation, which objectively promoted the intensification of confrontation. After the bloodshed, the rule of "no violence" has been completely abandoned, the balance of power has been broken, and the situation is one-sided. On the side of the guards, in the name of maintaining order and stability, violence is used to control the entire prison. The objects of violence include game creators. The power of one party is absolute, and in the case of violent confrontation completely irrational, violence has evolved into violence and violence, destroying human nature, and destroying human rights.
The so-called dark side of human nature probably refers to the hostile and tyrannical tendencies in people's underlying consciousness. The creator of this world is obviously a failed creator. In the setting of this game, the starting points of the forces of the two parties are not equal, but they enter the game with a sense of equality in reality. I guess the creator of the game must also hope to confront the occurrence of conflicts, because this is where his interest in observation lies. This experiment is so similar to my previous working environment. Violence is not necessarily manifested in the flesh. Violence in our daily lives is more manifested in ideological tyranny. In our bones, we fully agree with ourselves with "innate human rights", but not with others.
