The whole film is full of irony in wit.
At the beginning of the film, on a luxurious private jet, when the beautiful stewardess was asking VIP guests whether to add wine, everyone in the cabin suddenly exclaimed, "Hurry up! He's awake!" At this time, a self-proclaimed doctor Man borrowed a pen from the flight attendant, turned around and inserted it into the neck of the "woke up" person. In the panic of everyone, the doctor said leisurely, "This is the end of waking up early."
Seeing this, I have got a layer of goose bumps, but it’s not over yet, and the female boss appeared immediately. Although I didn’t know she was the last ultimate boss at this time, she quickly, accurately and ruthlessly put on high heels. Root knocked into the eyeball of the person who "woke up early", and pulled out the eyeball from the heel with an elegant gesture like pulling out a rubber plug, then polished the shoe root and threw the sentence "This is him." "The end it deserves" then walked away.
While I got goose bumps all over, I couldn't help thinking, what exactly did this person do to "deserve" such an end?
Then the camera switched to a piece of green grass. There was a group of people whose mouths were sealed on the grass. They looked panicked. They didn't know where it was or why they were here. It turns out that these people are just a group of people who did not "woke up early" on the plane in front. The reason why they are here is because they have all been selected as prey in the game.
What game? It is a hunting game launched by the upper-level elites against those "keyboard men" who criticize themselves, using the gameplay in the game, but with real guns and real ammunition to kill. Soon, these people fell down one by one, and the attitudes of the people in the panic were full of irony. Some were dying but were still thinking about their birthday tomorrow, and some were caught by bullets over their heads. What should I do if I collapsed in the same place and shouted, there were also people lying next to the dying teammates, opening their eyes and saying "it's okay" lie. Isn't this what we are in everyday life? Can't let go of desire, fame and fortune, and always not calm and wise enough when in trouble.
Of course, this is not what the film focuses on, but these obvious truths are often overlooked.
As a group of people were hunted one after another, only one female officer was left, but in fact, she was the ultimate prey of this game. She seemed to have seen through this a grand conspiracy a long time ago, so with the force of "who can laugh until the end is not necessarily" and her own courage and wisdom, she eliminated obstacles all the way and broke through the barriers all the way.
Halfway through, a teammate asked her how she recognized those lies, and she told her teammate the story of the tortoise and the hare. Everyone knows the tortoise and the hare race, but what she said is that the hare lost the race because of complacency, and finally ran to the tortoise's house and killed the tortoise's family and ate their dinner.
There seem to be two metaphors here. First, it seems to point to certain powers, satirize their darkness, and tell all ordinary civilians that no matter what you do, the real power of life and death is still in the hands of a few powers. Second, it seems to be telling us that one win or loss cannot determine every win or loss. Only the one who laughs last is the real winner. So, that's what the female officer did.
When she finally cleared the level and saw the ultimate boss, she asked the boss with a dazed expression, "Who are you? I don't know you! Why are you doing this?"
The big boss replied, "We didn't really kill people. Everything was just a joke at first. It was you guys hiding behind the keyboard and spraying everywhere, making this true."
The female officer asked, "But for everyone you kidnap and kill, isn't it true?"
The big boss is angry, "That's also caused by you. If you don't understand the truth, you will twist everything into your worldview. If you want this to be true, you think it is true. Everything is your thoughts."
The argument was fruitless, and the two went directly to the fight. In the end, the female officer asked the big boss "Why me?" and explained that "Snowball is an idealist. She did things that others didn't understand, so they joined forces. Suppress her together." At this time, the big boss asked the female officer in surprise, "So you know the story of Snowball?".
At this point, the big boss confirmed that the female officer was not the one who spread rumors and attacked herself on the Internet, so she closed her eyes and died. So the female officer became the ultimate winner, and, like the rabbit in the tortoise and the hare, ate the big boss’s food, changed her clothes, led her dog, and boarded her private plane. She drank the valuable red wine she treasured in one breath.
In the end on the plane, it was the flight attendant in the beginning of the film. She asked the female officer how she felt. The female officer yelled "Sweet!" But what left us to ponder was, what's behind the coolness? In this game, no matter who is the ultimate winner, the price is heavy. Someone has already made senseless sacrifices, but at its root, it is nothing but a man-made disaster caused by "freedom of speech."
This reminds me of the "Juvel's Lament" I have seen before, and it is also expressing the meaning of speech: how you say it, someone will believe it, and what everyone believes is true.
Therefore, the so-called freedom of speech is indeed a double-edged sword. It protects people from danger and can kill people invisible.
