The works written by Luc Besson have learned a little bit of French humor from this movie. I have seen someone comment that American humor is too straightforward, British humor is too deep and introverted, and French humor is often unexpected and just right. The whole movie is very joyful, with French self-deprecating and ridiculing the French police and the government. Of course, because of the many historical factors between France and Germany, it is understandable to ridicule the cold and serious Germany.
In the film, Daniel's superb driving skills and Amy's repeatedly messed up driver's license exams form a sharp and funny contrast. The two people's completely different personalities also hit sparks, so that the story can be better unfolded. There have always been racing scenes in European and American movies. Of course, there are many in this film, and the shots are also very beautiful. Even if it is a 1998 work, watching it now, the racing scenes are also very exciting.
There are a total of five movies in this series. I have watched the first four. The normal state of the series is that the first two are more beautiful, and the fifth is not watched again after changing the starring.
Finally, I added an easter egg. I revisited the movie a few days ago and realized that Lily was actually played by Marion Goliath.
