The title of "Black Water" is so wonderfully used. The black font reveals everything that is filthy. The word "Water" is the medium of everything, setting up the pros and cons of this incident.
To understand this movie, you have to mention the DuPont Teflon incident. In 1998, Tennant, West Virginia, found attorney Robert Billot (Marc Ruffalo) to file a lawsuit against DuPont for nearly 200 cows that died due to toxic emissions from the DuPont factory.
During this period, Bilot found that PFOA, a substance DuPont, was concealing the facts when it knew that it was toxic and carcinogenic, and still used it in large quantities. For this reason, the annual profit reached more than 1 billion US dollars. A 15-year-long road to truth has begun.
Although the film is a bit boring, it is highly visible. Uncle Mark’s acting skills are as stable as ever, with tense hands shaking, soft legs, and persecution delusional expression and mental performance. The quarrel scene between Anne Hathaway and her partner husband and wife to alleviate the insufficiency of the plot in the later stage is also very exciting.
But the ending of the film is really unsatisfactory, without a climax of contrast, which is disappointing.
But generally speaking, it is still a very good work. If you like this kind of subject matter, don't miss this excellent work!
