This is the last Wes Anderson movie I watched, and it is also his debut. During the viewing process, I have been paying attention to the scheduling of the pictures and the matching of colors. I can indeed see some stylized treatments. Compared with his later works, they have not yet formed and are random. Color is a very important existence in Weiss movies. It can symbolize and represent a lot of things, and the most intuitive thing is to give the audience a sense of comfort. I don't know if it's because of my young age. I usually think that a movie is good because it brings me an excellent viewing experience and easy pleasure.
At the end of the movie, I laughed out loud, and I was surprised, and finally got a laugh. Weiss's comedy is very rhythmic, especially the relaxation of the lines, it is easy to capture the laughter. A place worth learning.
The reason I say that this is a very free debut is because the story is really not strong, the narrative is a little jumpy, and the characterization is not accurate enough. What I like more is the character Digenan. He has a very interesting goal, to become a great criminal, in other words, to become an unfettered wanderer, and he takes the initiative to wander. It sounds romantic. I recall that during this period of last year, I particularly liked the word wandering and dreamed about a life of wandering freedom, but after all, I didn't have the courage of Digenan. Where did the courage come from? He was unemployed, had nothing, only a few friends left, and the thoughts about the meaning of life that popped up suddenly, if you don't grasp it, the rest of your life will inevitably be spent in regret and annoyance. I like this purpose and motivation, he is extraordinary. In "Crossing Darjeeling", the two characters have very big similarities, and they set out a package plan, but this time, they did a good job.
Anthony’s love story tells us that we must learn a few more foreign languages, otherwise when love comes, we have to find an interpreter, and we can’t be wary of the accuracy of the translation. I sigh for my fourth level. English is really a hurdle in my life. I want to learn but I can't learn it well. I am more helpless than Bob.
I really like the title Bottled Rockets, so poetic. The rocket in the bottle, like a specimen, has the mission of launching, but in the end it is only for exhibition. Digenan had the desire to wander but finally came to prison. The bottled rocket is like a brand name, an attitude to life that can be shared, and freedom under the constraints.
Finally, I would like to mention one of my favorite scenes. The scene where Digenan is sitting in the car with fireworks is so beautiful. The most amazing thing is the feeling in my heart at that moment, the indescribable happiness.
