Willie Wongka is a great chocolate inventor and manufacturer, and runs the world's largest chocolate factory-Wongka Chocolate Factory. It was a mysterious factory, with the door locked. In 15 years, no workers have ever been seen entering or coming out of the door, but the rich aroma of chocolate can be smelled. The Wonka brand chocolate produced in the factory is sold all over the world and is loved by children. One day, Mr. Willie Wonka posted a notice: He buried five gold coupons in the chocolates he produced. Whoever eats them will have the opportunity to visit the factory and get enough chocolate candies and other sweets for a lifetime. The children snapped up frantically, and the five little guests became the lucky ones in the end. One of the young guests was Charlie. The family was very poor. After two failures, he found the last golden ticket, and the door of the chocolate factory was opened for him. The five children set out to take an adventure in this magic factory. In addition to the magical and magnificent world of chocolate making, they are attracted by Willie Wangka’s "mysterious gift"...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory quotes

  • Charlie Bucket: But it didn't close forever, it's open right now.

Mrs. Bucket: Ah, yes, well sometimes, when grown ups say "forever," they mean, "a very long time."

Grandpa George: Such as, I feel like I've eaten nothing but cabbage soup forever.

    Mr. Bucket: Now pops...

Grandma Josephine: The factory did close, Charlie.

Grandpa Joe: And it seemed like it was going to be closed forever. Then, one day, we saw smoke rising from the chimneys. The factory was back in business!

Charlie Bucket: Did you get your job back?

Grandpa Joe: No. No one did.

Charlie Bucket: But there must be people working there.

Grandma Josephine: Think about it, Charlie. Have you ever seen a single person going into that factory? Or coming out of it?

Charlie Bucket: No. The gates are always closed.

    Grandpa Joe: Exactly.

Charlie Bucket: But then, who's running the machines?

    Mrs. Bucket: Nobody knows, Charlie.

  • Violet Beauregarde: [hugs Wonka] Mr. Wonka, I'm Violet Beauregarde.

Willy Wonka: [freaked out] Oh. I don't care.

Violet Beauregarde: Well, you should care. Because I'm the girl who's gonna win the special prize at the end.

Willy Wonka: Well, you do seem confident and confidence is key.
