Life and death view of pet cemetery

Stephen King's "Pet Cemetery" was originally looking forward to what it would look like on the big screen, but it didn't seem to surprise me very much. The movie gave me the feeling that it was a very horrifying story but a little far away from us. Although from one aspect, it is true that the human nature and the yin and yang separation are unacceptable to us, and my father’s actions are excusable. But there shouldn't really be a magical land that can be resurrected after being buried!

Boundary, I think it’s a key word in this film. Don’t break the boundary, otherwise we can’t predict what will happen. In fact, it’s the same in our own lives. No matter what, don’t cross the final boundary. Otherwise, it will be cast. Big mistake, regret for life.

In the concept of life and death, the daughter asked the father about the meaning of death, but the parents’ interpretations were different. One thought that there was heaven, and the other thought it was the clock in the body—the metabolism stopped. This was also related to their respective backgrounds, the father. The explanation is more rational, because he is a doctor; while his mother is a perceptual one, derived from her sister in childhood.

Regarding the characters, the characters are not persuasive enough. Whether it’s the mother’s feelings for her sister, or the father’s resurrection of her daughter, what’s more, why Judson told his father that the place exists lacks some persuasiveness. The mother’s mental journey is not enough, in fact, we can see a little bit. One or two, the mother’s feelings for her sister are very complicated. There are fears, guilt, and fears, but there is not too much shaping of this aspect in the film.

From the perspective of another big guy, the problem of spelling errors should have been Pet Cemetery, but PetSematary in the film is the same as in the film. At first glance, it is true that although the person is back, it is actually the same as the original one. That person is far away

Regarding why Judson told his father about the existence of the Mysterious Land, this is based on the plot in the photo, which is not very convincing! It stands to reason that he resurrected his wife and resurrected the dog. He also knew that the dog returned was not the original dog. Under such circumstances, should he know the existence of the magical land to his father? It doesn't make sense

Regarding the mother, although she said that there is heaven and people will not really die, when her daughter is really standing in front of her, she is unwilling-she should refuse to hug her, so this character herself is also very contradictory. Yes, it is more prominent that her inner emotions are very complicated. I always thought that my mother should have some changes in the end, for example, stepping out of the memory of her sister and letting herself out, but it turns out that I guessed wrong.

Regarding the father, a person who studies medicine believes in resurrection from the dead. If one of these people does not believe in the resurrection, then it must be the doctor of the father, but it is the doctor's operation that made these big things happen. disaster

Regarding the theme, there is no doubt that the movie explores the concept of life and death. About life and death, should we let go? Or do you impose your own obsession on others? In fact, sometimes, we just act according to our own ideas, but we actually impose our own ideas on others. When the father wants to resurrect his daughter, when the neighbor wants to resurrect his wife, they have asked his daughter. Or wife's thoughts? They don’t want to go back to this world at all, maybe for them, death is a kind of relief, and they should know how to let go

Generally speaking, I think there are more than enough points. It can be seen that the story is a good story, and the things discussed are also very meaningful, but some of the director’s strengths and some of the trade-offs are problematic. , Which makes it impossible to make sense in some places
