Story about escape

The film begins with an Omani funeral. The widowed female protagonist and child were killed by a murder case and the original peaceful life was broken. The child witnessed the murderer’s appearance, and the hurried male protagonist (policeman) asked the child to assist in identification. Murderer..., if you don't continue watching the movie here, the viewers (including me) might think this is a clichéd chase and killer story without any suspense!

fortunately! fortunately! ! fortunately! ! !

I watched it patiently. The male protagonist (policeman) was falsely accused, and the female protagonist took him to hide in his home, the Oman community. In fact, here is the real beginning of the film, and the front is just foreshadowing.. ., This is a love story. When the film completely unfolded the Oman community, widowed women, children, farms, cows and other surrounding environments, as well as fugitives (just trapped), the "Call of the Far Mountains" by Chieko, who was rewarded by Chieko, came into my mind..., In the future stories, I guess it might be the male protagonist clearing up his grievances and living a happy life with the female protagonist and the child in Xanadu. How beautiful, I like the ending.

But the story is not like this, my guess is violated.

The film is just a little bit similar to "The Call of the Far Mountain" in terms of the environment and the human situation. The protagonist and the protagonist have gone through many twists and turns. They fled from the city to the Oman community. They fell in love, but in the end they weren’t together. At last, they looked at each other and were speechless. It was really melancholy. When the protagonist drove into the distance, A man (Jie Pan Xia) is walking towards the hostess's room in the opposite direction. Fortunately! The ending is balanced.

In fact, the man who came over at the end was quite vulgar. I didn't intend to express it like that, but just borrowed fashionable language.

In the end, why didn’t each other stay together? I think it’s a clash between two cultures. I checked the "Omani sect" on the Internet. This is a branch of Christianity. Cooperating with each other and not possessing. Compared with the mainstream and pluralistic society, the Omani community is more like a paradise.

In real life, people will have the desire to escape in the inherent living environment. The male protagonist and the female protagonist are trying or tempted to escape. The female protagonist takes off the white hat that symbolizes the rules and culture, and runs to the male protagonist to kiss. A kind of escape; the male protagonist staring at the female protagonist under the light is also a kind of escape. In the end, they all have escaped from each other’s original inherent life. In fact, the three people who chase the male protagonist and the children are also hindering the plot setting. The fleeing of the hero is not a big pursuit in the plot in a simple sense, but an obstacle in reality. Neither the hero nor the heroine can escape from the original life, they can only care about each other without words, only tears. A kind of helplessness, a kind of melancholy. The meaning of this revelation itself has a strong sense of substitution, too much helplessness...

A little digression:

1. If a man has an extra skill, for example, the male lead in the film can work as a carpenter, and in Tajima, such as "The Call of a Far Mountain", he can take care of housework. Such a man will often win the warm admiration of a woman. look;

2. The film starring male and female actors. Needless to say, Harrison Ford’s acting skills, Kate McGillis, dedicated her outstanding acting skills, and the later "High Aspirations" was the peak of her career. After that, she did not have many works. In fact, as It is enough for an actor to make the audience remember one or two of her created roles. She is now 62 years old. Thank you McGee for her performance, and thank you for bringing us the story of escape in life.

Witness quotes

  • Rachel Lapp: [Book and Carter are driving around a rough neighborhood looking for a suspect that fits Samuel's description, with Rachel and Samuel in tow] Where are you taking us?

John Book: I'm sorry... we're looking for a suspect in the area, we'd like the kid to take a look at him.

Rachel Lapp: You have no right to keep us here.

John Book: Oh, yes I do. Your son's a material witness to a homicide.

Rachel Lapp: You don't understand. We want nothing to do with your laws.

John Book: Doesn't surprise me. A lot of people I meet are like that.

John Book: [after Samuel and Rachel converse in German] What'd he say?

Rachel Lapp: He asked who you are, your name. I told him we didn't need to know anything about you.

    John Book: Book... John Book!

  • Rachel Lapp: [as she and Samuel are walking through the police station with Book] When can we leave the city?

John Book: We're trying to get this done as quickly as possible, then you can go. But, Samuel's probably gonna have to come back to testify. I'm sorry.

Rachel Lapp: No, you are not, you are glad.

    John Book: Huh?

Rachel Lapp: Because now you have a witness.

John Book: Yeah, now I got a witness.

Rachel Lapp: I just don't like the idea of my son spending all this time with a man who carries a gun and goes around whacking people!

John Book: [in disbelief] Whacking?... whacking?
