hand in hand in the darkness

After watching this movie in the dark, there were no more lights outside the window. The good ending I was waiting for only flashed for tens of seconds, and it was not enough to slow me down. The film was very depressing, but it seemed to be true. After watching it, it was as if I found a hand in the dark and held it. Even in the dark, I wouldn't be afraid.
Latisa’s husband was executed, and his son died in a car accident, leaving him destitute.
Hank's son shot himself while arguing with him. Father stubbornly hated blacks.
In this world, there is nothing you want it to happen. No one can choose their own life, only accept and constantly seek warmth and comfort.
The combination of Latisa and Hank, in my opinion, is only because of loneliness. Thought that love should be like that, that is, at least sweet and full of excitement. The two of them are together, in my opinion, just because they have too many similar encounters with each other. And two lonely souls have no reason not to be together to comfort each other. Because they need it.
Watching this film carefully, you can hardly hear the soundtrack. Only at the end, in the ambivalent mood of La Tisha, there is a short piece of music.
Several times in the film, you feel as if La Tisha sees hope, as if the plot should be clear and beautiful. However, just like reality, when you have to believe that good things are about to come, often disasters will come first.
A lonely soul, in the dark, as long as it can hold hands.
