Location: AMC Cinema
Event: "Surf Season/Surfing Penguin" Surf's Up advanced premiere
Rarely got up early on Saturday, in order to catch up with the advanced premiere of "Surf Season", You have to rush to the theater at 10 o'clock, and you must not be late. Because according to personal experience, there are generally not many trailers for this kind of show, and I missed the beginning when I was late, and I was the one who suffered.
The penguin's naive image has inspired the filmmakers time and time again. Let’s not talk about it, just two or three years...
"Emperor Penguins" March of the Penguins, "Madagascar" Madagascar, "Happy Feet" Happy Feet, from documentaries to cartoons, are all representatives of acclaim.
There is not much room for the theme of this kind of film. It is nothing more than small people (or small animals) + great dreams + unfavorable teaching + unremitting hard work + hard work + final thoughts... even the character settings, oh, the animal settings may make people I feel familiar, the chicken dubbed by "Napoleon" is not the donkey in "Shrek" or the zebra in "Madagascar".
The problem is that despite the jewels and jade in the front, despite the old tune, the group of Sony Animation still brings us a fresh feeling like the waves in the film.
The most novel thing is that the form of imitation documentary in the film is used particularly brilliantly, the spoof of ESPN, the shabby film like "the torture room movie", and the wonderful subtitles and annotations from time to time make people can’t help but smile. The humor of the film is more tender, not as straightforward and thorough as Shrek, but it is more memorable.
The picture of the film is also beautiful, of course, except for those old clips made with special effects. When I watched it, I kept thinking: If this movie had a version made with IMAX, it would be cool! I especially remember the shot of Cody and Big Z surfing together in the sunset. It was so impressive, like someone imprinted it in my mind with a special stamp.
People nowadays are getting more and more impatient, and they often leave the scene as soon as the end credits appear. So, among the few people who stayed in the theater at the end, apart from me, there were only a few local names such as Manon Dumais. Of course, waiting is rewarding. Just like "Pirates of the Caribbean 3", after the end of the credits, there will be an "Easter egg" for everyone as usual.
9 points recommended!
PS: In another six days, the film will be released in North America. I hope this film will have a good start. The box office championship is definitely impossible, "Thirteen Arhats" Ocean's 13 dominates in front.
