The whole movie seems to have a very relaxed rhythm, without the tension and depression brought by the kidnapping cases that I saw. Although the actual result is the same by different routes, the problems presented are worthy of consideration. It seems impossible to understand why I still got such a result.
Zack's brother owed Johnny money, and he broke into Johnny's house and wrecked him to fix him. Johnny was lucky enough to escape. On the way to leave the shelter, Johnny saw Zack and had the idea of kidnapping Zack to get his money back. Then a deadly game began.
Frankie is Johnny's hard-core brother, watching Zack's task fell to Frankie. But their relationship is far from the traditional relationship between the kidnapper and the kidnapper. Frankie is very friendly to Zack, except for the tape and rope at the beginning. Zack is free most of the other time. He could run away at any time, but he didn't. Because he didn't think Frankie would hurt him, and he also wanted to temporarily avoid the home that made him feel depressed. Frankie even took Zack home and took him to various parties. Satisfy adolescence's curiosity about tobacco, alcohol, and the opposite sex. In Frankie's house, Zack shared the leisure time of the holiday like other guests. Frankie's friend found out that the child had been kidnapped, although he also expressed anxiety. But no one thought of doing anything except a girl who wanted to call the police. For everyone, it's just a new friend, a new playmate. In fact, Zack is the same, he wants to get rid of the constraints of his family and his mother. The rebellion of youth is something that can happen to any good child.
Kidnapping can never be just a simple game. Johnny and Frankie still have to face the problem of how to deal with Zack. Because it's already a big deal. They can't deal with the development. Until the end when Frankie sealed Zack's mouth with tape, you can see the struggle in his eyes. After all, Zack at this time is no longer a person who has nothing to do with him. They have been together for a few days. If it were not for this complicated relationship, maybe they could become friends. Don't Johnny and Frankie have any other choice?
One of the highlights of the film is Frankie, played by Justin, whose ability to grasp such roles is better than the dumb policeman he played in "Edison". Frankie's simplicity, helplessness, guilt, and panic all performed well. In other words, he has cultural characteristics that represent the younger generation.
