behind the introduction

director Phil Jianuo Although I haven't made any decent movies, there are finally two U2 documentaries and a bunch of lesser-known TV series at the bottom. This time, it can be reused by Sony Columbia. It seems that this person has a certain talent for documentaries. Is it possible that the producers want the final effect of this sports inspirational film to reach the level of the documentary of the year?

In fact, for the vast majority of movie fans, the one who really deserves attention in this film is Dashi Johnson. This slender, imposing professional wrestler gave people a refreshing feeling when he first set foot in the movie world. The brief outburst in "The Mummy" won him the "Scorpion King" tailored for him by the film crew. It seems that after that, the "big guy" play was firmly restricted in the direction of showing off his muscles. In "Jungle Raiders", although the "peaceful way" without firing a shot is adopted, it still shows its best in wrestling and fighting. However, in the 2005 comedy "One Cool to the End", although he appeared as a gangster, Dashi Johnson expressed his desperate need for a real performance opportunity with his unique action of "raising eyebrows"...

Film Comment

In 1993, the touching story of how a group of children managed to get rid of the fetters of their hearts and finally regained their lives caused a huge sensation in society when they were shown in a TV documentary, and won the TV Emmy Award. "Reinvigorating the Style" is based on this touching story and a highly-rated documentary.

However, despite the film’s "adapted from a true story" as a guise, the slightly monotonous plot of the film is like "Coach Carter", "The Longest Code" or even "Challenge Sunday" and other sports inspirational movies. It really makes people doubt whether Sony Columbia’s producers are lazy. It seems that they have not done the adaptation and romance work at all, because after all, the film is a form of artistic expression, which is higher than life itself. Moreover, in Hollywood, sports inspirational movies have developed for so many years after all, and there is no shortage of classics in any aspect. It seems that this subject has reached a dead end, and it is very difficult to innovate in the story itself...

  • Anthony: Don't do this, please! I got two little boys at home!

Willie Weathers: For my dead homie!

    Anthony: No, don't do this!

    [Willie shoots and misses him]

    Willie Weathers: Oh, shit! Damn!

  • Sean Porter: Listen, Paul, we convince a kid to stop gang banging, all we do is create a void. And unless we fill that void with something better, we're gonna lose 'em.

Sean Porter: According to the teaching staff, the kids here have trouble being punctual, responding to authority, being a member of a team, and accepting criticism. What one activity can improve 'em on all these areas?

Paul Higa: You want to start a football team?

    Sean Porter: Exactly.

Paul Higa: Sean, look at them. Our who system's designed to prevent them from making contact.

Sean Porter: Our whole system right now is a joke.

Ted Dexter: Malcolm, you're not buying into this, are you?

Malcolm Moore: Seventy-five percent of our kids end up back in jail. How much worse could it be?

Ted Dexter: Well, who are they gonna play against?

Sean Porter: I'll find 'em high school teams to play.

Ted Dexter: Wait a minute, you wanna take 'em out of camp? You really think you can trust these kids?

Sean Porter: Not now, no. But if they were a football team...

Ted Dexter: Oh, c'mon Sean. It's impossible.

Sean Porter: Then lets try the impossible, because the possible just ain't working.

Sean Porter: Paul, we've got to give these kids a target and we've gotta fill that void.

Sean Porter: You played football, didn't you?

Paul Higa: Defensive end. Second Team All League.

Paul Higa: Alright. we'll give it a try. But your neck is way out on this.
